Can't paste in VMware Workstation

Is there a way to make it possible? I use WMware workstation 17.0.0.

Trying to use the new version of ClickPaste [v1.1.0] with HotKey. Same, not working.

I used it in VMware all the time. Hot key won't work because it will be grabbed by the VM.

Right after you select click the target, you might have to click it AGAIN to get the focus to really go inside the VM guest to the right place.

Alas I don't have VMware any more to test against.

I've used this to copy from my workstation and then paste it to a VDI. I have to run the VDI in Window mode, not full screen. After clicking on the CLickPaste Icon from my workstation and moving my mouse to the VDI, the crosshairs go away, but if I click within the space of the VDI such as an app or some password window ClickPaste pastes everything in the area as if it were typed. Should work the same for VMworkstation. I've also tested this with Hyper-V,

I'm having a similar issue but with parsec, not vmware. I guess parsec session or the vmware session are capturing the clicks, so you can't "click" the window and start the paste? The crosshair shows up again if I mouse outside of the parsec window as if I hadn't clicked it at all.

Those having this issue: Are you launching ClickPaste with Run as Admin? Otherwise if your VM windows are running in a UAC elevated context and clickpaste is not, the UAC window will not listen to our messages.
