new line command doesn't work

Summary

The new line command (shift+ Enter) doesn't work.

When the key combination is pressed, the prompt/message is sent.

Expected Behavior

The prompt/message is sent.

Actual Behavior

The expected behavior is that using this combination should move the cursor to a new line.

Steps to reproduce the issue

1. open cmdc.
2. write something and try shift + enter to make a new line in the prompt text area.
3. see how the prompt is sent to the model.

That's odd. I just checked on my device, and it's working completely fine on VS Code, just not working on PowerShell. Let me fix it and inform you. Thanks for reporting it here!!

It's odd that it says it runs in PowerShell, because I ran cmdc in Bash.

If you look at the Terminal tab (where it says Command Code michi-cards-final), you'll notice it has the Bash symbol.

yeah I also check it on bash, it's working fine on vscode, just want to know the vscode version of yours, I'm using v1.130.0

We're using the same version. don't know why it's not working on your side, but I found out it’s not working on Windows Terminal and Windows PowerShell. If you open PowerShell in Windows, it doesn’t work, otherwise, it works fine.
So I’m on it. I’ll reach out to you again after I fix it

Hi @Ariel-GonzAguer ,I found the solution. It’s not our TUI issue. You have to do this: I checked mine and I already have this, which is why I don’t face the issue on VS Code. Try it and let me know.

add it to your VS Code keybindings.json (open it with Ctrl+Shift+P → "Open Keyboard Shortcuts (JSON)"):
