Subject: [PATCH] chore: Drop support for Go 1.25 and update minimum supported
 version to 1.26

Drop support for Go 1.25 and update the minimum supported version to 1.26 across workflow files, go.mod, and README. Also fix printf format verbs in tests flagged by go vet on Go 1.27.
