Use setarch $arch chroot /var/foo bash- to enter joot.
The point is to allow users to have 32 bit build joot and 64 bit build joots. The idea is that setarch will tell uname to lie to gcc so that it will compile 32 binaries when in the 32 bit joot and 64 bit outside of it.
