Raspberry Debug Settings... crashes VS when addressing a Model A+ v1.1

The connection to the A+ verified correctly.

Going to Project | Raspberry Debug Settings... caused Visual Studio to terminate after about 6-8 seconds. VS restarted on the first termination and did not restart on the second termination.

I was in C++ console app project.

Tried it again on a pi3B running pi OS 64bit and the same thing happened.

Creating a C# .NET 5 project worked for both the pi3B and the piA+ so it must have been the type of app I chose.
