Is it possible to know by telemetry following driver name?

I don't have F1 games now I can play, so my question would be awkward.

Can I know thanks to the telemetry in F1 2017 or below which driver is following me?
and the time gap between us?
and what tyres is he using?

would love to make an Arduino display mounted on the steering wheel to show this info

Hi,
I haven't looked at the updated feed coming from later F1 games such as F1 2017, so I can't really comment about what the telemetry outputs now. However, back in 2013/4 it didn't output driver name.
