Problem being solved
When moderating reports, sometimes it can be difficult to determine whether or not something is actionable by the content alone, as such, moderators often need additional information related to reports that aren't clear cut policy violations. This information includes:
- number of reports for the content
- number of reports for the user
- rate change of reports for user (and maybe content)
- action rate on reports for the given user
These combined can help a moderator determine: is this a pattern of behaviour, or is there "troll reporting" taking place (essentially using the reporting tooling as a method to remove someone's voice from the community). Usually these incidents can also be traced back to other posts either on platform or off-platform (generally on-platform in my experience)
Proposed solution
On the review queue's individual moderation page for each report, surface these sort of statistics to better provide moderators context around the issue. For instance, you can make the number of reports for a user or content link to a filtered query such that they can see all related reports at once.
Alternatives considered
Currently some of this information is just not available, and alternatives would be more manual such as a clue system as defined in: #1024
