[1.20.1] Initial launch causes options.txt to not be saved; Potential incompatability causes repeated error

trying to make any changes to the options.txt through the ingame menu causes the error 'Failed to save options' and no changes to be saved after reloading the client. the specific error given is:

I can't recreate this error with Fabric API, Fabric Language Kotlin, Keybind Fix, and Remember My Txt on the latest versions of Minecraft, Fabric, and these mods.

I don't think this is an incompatibility with keybinding fix, and is probably another mod.

it seems to happen on the initial launch with this mod only, the other mods previously mentioned do not need to be added. after closing the game the first time every launch seems to save the options.txt fine. my guess is some other conflict was causing the error to occur every launch by resetting something.
first launch logs: 2023-07-26-1.log
