Storage of daily schedule

I thought of storing the daily data initially in an array of 7 elements, but after wasting 4-5 hours couldn't find anything fruitful so rather will be store per day data in the format:-
[{genre:day,amount:hours}] .
In this way, data is updated numerous times.

This is the most possible solution that I came accross.
