Prepares release 1.7.0: npm version 1.7.0 bumps package.json and package-lock.json, and [Unreleased] is promoted to ## [1.7.0] - 2026-10-16 with fresh link definitions. If the release goes out on a later day, change the date before merging.

Merge #140 first (#138, the Grail pin, is already merged and this branch is rebased onto it). This changelog describes both, and the CI run on this PR's merge commit is where the release's packages come from.

Along the way it tidies the changelog:

Swept and left out:

npm run release:notes 1.7.0 prints the section cleanly, Prettier passes, and no line in the new section exceeds 100 columns.

After merge: wait for CI to go green on the merge commit, then dispatch Actions → Release with 1.7.0, dry-run first.

- Move #109's entry (usage data records the editor) out of the 1.6.0
section, where a merge from before the promotion put it: it shipped
after 1.6.0, and neither the v1.6.0 tag nor its release notes carry it.
- One Fixed heading in [Unreleased], where three PRs had each added one.
- Add entries for #121 (Survives logout takes effect at once on Linux)
and for the Grail pin bump in #138.
- Rewrap [Unreleased] at 100 columns; no wording changes.

Promote [Unreleased] to 1.7.0 and bump the version with npm version.

Measured: filing Grail into an existing database, which an update does,
orphans committed datetimes, dates, Decimals, tuples, sets, instances of
user classes and a stored None. A reinstall of the same Grail does the
same, so this is the reinstall path, not this pin. A fresh database on
the new pin passes every check.

The intro said an update reinstalls Python support; with #140 it asks
first. Add #140's entry under Changed, and date the release today.
