What changed

A workflow_dispatch trigger on the CI workflow. Everything that ran before still runs: check, build and security on every pull request and push to main, and the image on main and release tags.

New:

  • gh workflow run ci.yml --ref <branch> reruns the checks on any branch without a push.
  • gh workflow run ci.yml --ref main -f publish_image=true also publishes the image. The input is ignored from any branch other than main, so latest cannot be overwritten from a feature branch.

One sentence added to CONVENTIONS.

Verified

  • The workflow file parses as YAML; triggers are workflow_dispatch, pull_request and push (main and tags), as before plus the manual one.
  • The pre-commit hook ran lint, typecheck, knip and tests on the commit.

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

Everything runs as before: check, build and security on every pull
request and push to main, the image on main and release tags. What is
new is a manual trigger, so a check can be rerun or an image published
without a new push.

A manual run publishes the image only when its publish_image input is
set, and only from main, so `latest` cannot be overwritten from a
feature branch.
