## Durable holistic studies

`hope_run_holistic(gtep_case_id, pcm_case_id, request_id, solver)` fingerprints
the GTEP and PCM inputs, copies them into an isolated request workspace, and
launches the deterministic linkage workflow. Use a stable `request_id` for safe
retries and poll `hope_holistic_status(request_id)` for status that survives an
MCP reconnect. The default run workspace is `artifacts/agent_runs/`; override it
with `HOPE_AGENT_RUNS_ROOT` when needed.

For role-separated agent operation, the local server exposes a durable protocol:

- `hope_prepare_holistic_study(...)` prepares an arbitrary compatible case pair.
- `hope_prepare_holistic_validation_study(...)` materializes the registered
annual-GTEP/monthly-PCM Maryland validation profile with a bounded PCM month.
- `hope_launch_holistic_study(study_id, ...)` executes the prepared request.
- `hope_holistic_study_status(study_id)` provides reconnect-safe monitoring.
- `hope_audit_holistic_study(study_id, ...)` validates the published evidence
and records an `ACCEPTED` or `REJECTED` receipt.

Preparation does not launch Julia. It pins source fingerprints and the request
hash under `artifacts/agent_studies/<study_id>/study_manifest.yml`; execution
rechecks them before solving, and audit writes `audit_report.yml`. The roles may
be handled by separate agents or sequentially by one MCP client. Override the
study root with `HOPE_AGENT_STUDIES_ROOT`.

If Claude appears to be running stale code or the wrong Julia environment, call
`hope_debug_solver_environment(case_id, solver, timeout_seconds)` to inspect the active project,
depot path, loaded `HOPE.jl` path, and the exact optimizer constructor JuMP sees.
