Lead the README with a one-line promise, a 25-second GIF that builds the points.f90 example and calls it from Python, and links to Colab, installation, and the real-library examples. Coverage 7.7+ installs its own startup hook that honours COVERAGE_PROCESS_START, so the repository sitecustomize.py duplicated it. setup.cfg only redirected egg-info into .artifacts/, which in turn was tracked (and shipped in the sdist) only so that directory existed; egg-info now lands in the ignored repository root and .artifacts/ is ignored like any other output directory. Give docs/index.md the README's first screen: promise, demo GIF, Colab, install, and examples buttons, and the proof line, above the existing status and C coverage notes.
