Summary

Removes the 9lives.run site and the Go installer from this repository. They now live in Quality-Max/9lives-runner (#117), and Vercel's 9lives-run project now deploys from there.

Why now

The site presents and installs the Go runner. This Python repository is in maintenance. Each runner release needed a separate PR here to bump the installer's pinned version, and two copies of the site would drift.

Key changes

• Removed (moved with the site):
  • website/, install/9l.run.sh, .github/workflows/indexnow.yml and the CI website job;
  • docs/INDEXNOW.md and docs/marketing/meme-assets.md;
  • tests/test_website.py and the installer tests.
• Kept: the check that the Python Action and pre-commit hooks select the Python CLI when a Go 9l is first on PATH, now tests/test_integration_identity.py.
• Docs:
  • The README and migration guide point to the runner repository for the installer and site.
  • The guide's installer pin is corrected from v0.1.1 to v0.4.0, which the installer has pinned since Move the qmax.run page checks onto 9lives.run and install Go v0.4.0 #34.

Merge order

Merge after Quality-Max/9lives-runner#117. Vercel already deploys 9lives.run from the runner repository, so after this merges nothing here deploys the site. Until #117 merges, production keeps serving the last deployment from this repository (14ec7ed).

Evidence

• Python tests: 67 passed, including the relocated identity test.
• ruff check and ruff format --check pass.
