note_frames hands Osd::note_counters the link's running totals (Retro-Runtime link 2.2): frames done give VI, the game's own count FPS (rcore rev 8 game_frame), the runner's run_frame time ms/VI. A 2.1 runner sends neither of the last two and those rows read --. The per-frame spreading the old one-number FPS needed is gone: rates come from totals. Retro-Runtime submodule -> ed79d16 (Retro-Runtime#6, feat/frame-stats). Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com> Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01P8WyraAmnCpC7UwtCEWdw5

The hub's side of RetroPortingToolKit/Retro-Runtime#6. The F3 / "Show FPS" readout used to be one number, and that number was really the VI rate. It is now three rows: FPS (the game's own pictures a second), VI (frames presented a second) and ms/VI (the runner's measured emulation time per frame).
PlaySession::note_framespassesOsd::note_countersthe link's running totals:frames_done()andframe_stats()(game_frame,work_ns). The per-frame timestamp spreading the old readout needed is gone.ed79d16(the Runtime PR branch). Re-point it at the merge commit once Runtime#6 merges.--and VI still works.Checked
--boot, n64lle fixture package with n64lle#83's core). I could not screenshot the readout on screen: the window sat behind other windows and this machine has no Xvfb. The on-screen check is still owed (F3 in game). The readout's rendering was checked throughretro-overlay-test --dump.🤖 Generated with Claude Code
