Updates Initiative Pulse from 1.0.0 to 1.5.0 with token-turn duration counters, integrated concentration checks, and a GM Setup Manager for 2014, 2024 and custom legacy character sheets. The published 1.0.0 source and original author metadata are preserved.

Behaviour

  • Effects attach to selected tokens and decrement at that token's turn end. Native tracker controls and Initiative Tracker Plus EOT share deduplicated observation, including ITP round-marker skips. Sorting and initiative edits rebaseline without firing Actions.
  • Damage prompts a controller/GM concentration save. Failure, zero HP, configured conditions or marker removal end concentration. Starting a new spell replaces the previous concentration effect and invalidates old save buttons.
  • Setup defaults to 2014 and offers explicit per-character sheet overrides for mixed games, concentration advantage, HP bar and marker settings. Existing settings are retained. No companion scripts are required; ScriptCards remains optional.
  • 2014 PCs and NPCs both use constitution_save_bonus. The incorrect pre-release default is migrated once, while explicit custom mappings are preserved.
  • NPC-specific save fields and the Constitution ability modifier are not used as fallbacks. Custom legacy mappings remain configurable.
  • 2024 characters use getSheetItem to read constitution_save_bonus and require the Experimental API sandbox. Set concentration advantage explicitly in Setup for War Caster; feats are not automatically inspected. Failed/timed-out reads preserve the request for retry, duplicate clicks are suppressed, and delayed results recheck session, token link and controller permissions.

Upgrade notes

Effects now tick at affected-token turn endings rather than explicit round notifications. Existing unassigned effects are preserved but paused until bound through Inspect. Disable separate Manual Concentration and TrackDuration scripts. Run !pulse setup, select linked tokens and use Check selected tokens. The script does not advance or sort the tracker. The README documents settings, sheet requirements and limits.

Validation

  • JavaScript syntax checked locally.
  • 105 mocked Roll20 regression scenarios passed; runnable tests included.
  • Manifest checked against applicable constraints in the repository's script.json.schema.
  • Maintainer-reported live testing confirmed the ScriptCards dropdown/forms and earlier EOT/marker-removal behaviour.
  • The maintainer previously confirmed NPC concentration worked and reviewed the Setup Manager. The latest shared PC/NPC save-field correction and 2024 integration still require live validation. Mocked results do not claim live compatibility.
  • Changes remain limited to Initiative Pulse source, documentation, metadata and tests.

Licence and attribution

Released under the repository's MIT licence. Kingkiller546 authored both the original Initiative Pulse and Manual Concentration scripts and maintains the combined script. Credit to keithcurtis1 for the idea to merge the token countdown into Initiative Pulse. ITP and ScriptCards are optional integrations, not bundled source.
