Kelly, 14 Oct: "if we say screen reader first or something similar, we should change to screen reader friendly. We don't want to imply screen readers get better treatment. In fact they get the treatment all photos apps should give them."

  • Docs:
    • CLAUDE.md: "screen-reader-first" becomes "screen-reader-friendly".
    • README, user guide, PRIVACY.md and the v0.2.0 release notes: "built for screen reader users" and "for people who use a screen reader" become "a screen-reader-friendly photo browser".
  • About, both apps: "for people using VoiceOver" (Mac) and "for people using screen readers" (Windows) become "and works well with VoiceOver" and "and works well with screen readers". Windows' is a one-line string in AboutWindow.xaml.cs, done here so both match.
  • The Windows package description (AppxManifest.xml, shown by Windows): "Browse your photos like folders, made for screen readers" becomes "Browse your photos like folders, described by on-device AI" (found by the review).
  • The repository's description on GitHub: changed to "a screen-reader-friendly, Finder-style photo browser…".
  • Not changed: the description prompt sent to Apple Intelligence ("You describe photos for a person who is blind and uses a screen reader…"). That shapes the descriptions themselves, not how the app describes itself. Say if it should change.
