Align and Adjust Text Script for Adobe Illustrator

Overview

This script, created by Alan Baban for the Brodmann Team, automates the alignment, resizing, and spacing of text objects in Adobe Illustrator. It features an intuitive user interface (UI) for easy configuration.

Features

• Automatically resize selected text objects to match the width of a reference text.
• Adjust spacing between text objects for consistent layouts.
• Align text objects vertically or horizontally.
• Simple UI with options for customization.

How to Use

1. Open Adobe Illustrator.
2. Select the text objects you want to align.
3. Run the script via File > Scripts > Other Script.
4. Configure the settings in the UI and click Apply.

Installation

1. Download the script file (AlignTextWithUI.jsx).
2. Place it in the Illustrator scripts folder:
   • Windows: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator [Version]\Presets\[Language]\Scripts
   • Mac: /Applications/Adobe Illustrator [Version]/Presets/[Language]/Scripts
3. Restart Illustrator. The script will appear under File > Scripts.
