Ali Al-Jalo

Backend Developer | Java & Spring Boot

I build backend projects with Java and Spring Boot, focusing on REST APIs, database design, validation, and maintainable service layers. My current work also explores Spring AI and the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

Technical focus

Selected projects

These descriptions reflect the code currently present. The projects are still under development; implemented features do not imply a completed production deployment.

Offeria — Material Knowledge Base & MCP

An RFQ automation platform under development. The material service contains database migrations, material aliases, spreadsheet staging and review, and Spring AI / Ollama integration for material matching. An MCP server exposes material tools. Completing the platform's service integration and RFQ / proposal delivery remains ongoing work.

Clinic Management System

A Spring Boot backend with patient management, JWT authentication and roles, and MySQL persistence. Doctor and appointment management are planned extensions; they are not implemented in the current repository.

Bank Management — Spring Boot

A learning project with bank account APIs, DTO mapping, validation, exception handling, tests, and Docker configuration. Authentication needs further work, including the login flow and consistent registration routing.

TaskFlow API

A Spring Boot project with a documented product scope and an initial application structure. Authentication, projects, tasks, and comments are planned work.

Developer Portfolio

A Thymeleaf portfolio in progress with Hero, About, and Tech Stack sections. Project and contact sections remain to be completed. The repository is linked here while a complete deployed portfolio is still pending.

Open source

My YAGFI fork follows Regyl/yagfi-back, a good-first-issue aggregator. The original project belongs to its upstream maintainers and contributors. I am using the fork to study its backend and prepare focused contributions; I do not claim authorship of its existing implementation.
