MegaProxy requires Android 8.0 (API 26) or newer. Download the latest signed build from
[GitHub Releases](https://github.com/andre487/AndroidMegaProxy/releases/latest), expand the
**Assets** section, and choose the APK matching the device architecture:

### Install a release APK on the device

1. Open the [latest release](https://github.com/andre487/AndroidMegaProxy/releases/latest) on the
Android device.
2. Under **Assets**, download the appropriate APK, normally the file ending in
`arm64-v8a.apk`.
3. Open the downloaded file from the browser notification or the system Downloads application.
4. If Android blocks the installation, open the settings offered by the warning and enable
**Allow from this source** for the browser or file manager that opened the APK. Return to the
installer and confirm **Install**. This permission can be disabled again after installation.
5. Open MegaProxy. Android asks for VPN access when the first connection is started; approve the
system VPN confirmation dialog.

Browsers may warn that APK files can be harmful because the application is installed outside an
app store. Confirm the download only when the URL belongs to this repository. Do not download
MegaProxy APKs from third-party mirrors.

### Verify the download

Each release includes a `SHA256SUMS` file. Download it alongside the APK and compare the APK hash
before installation when the distribution channel is not trusted:

The printed value must exactly match the corresponding line in `SHA256SUMS`. Substitute the
downloaded version and architecture in the filename.

### Install with ADB

Alternatively, download the APK to a computer. With USB debugging enabled and the device listed
by `adb devices`, install or update MegaProxy with:

adb install -r mega-proxy-v0.0.3-arm64-v8a.apk
```

Use the APK filename that was actually downloaded. The `-r` option preserves existing application
data during an update. Confirm the USB-debugging authorization prompt on the phone if Android
shows one.

### Update an existing installation

Download the newer APK for the same architecture and install it over the existing application.
Do not uninstall MegaProxy first: uninstalling removes its profiles, trusted SSH host keys, and
other local settings. Android accepts an in-place update only when the application ID and signing
key match the installed build.

Release APKs are signed by the project's release key. SHA-256 checksums are published alongside
the APK files. Android will preserve application data across upgrades only when the package name

# Установка MegaProxy из APK

[English installation instructions](../../README.md#installation)

MegaProxy поддерживает Android 8.0 (API 26) и новее. Официальные APK публикуются в разделе
[GitHub Releases](https://github.com/andre487/AndroidMegaProxy/releases/latest).

## Выбор APK

Откройте последний релиз, разверните список **Assets** и выберите APK для архитектуры устройства:

Для современного телефона почти всегда нужен файл, имя которого заканчивается на

## Установка на телефон

1. Откройте на телефоне страницу
[последнего релиза MegaProxy](https://github.com/andre487/AndroidMegaProxy/releases/latest).
2. Разверните раздел **Assets** и нажмите на подходящий APK — обычно это файл с окончанием
`arm64-v8a.apk`.
3. Если браузер предупреждает, что APK-файл может быть опасен, убедитесь, что адрес начинается с
`https://github.com/andre487/AndroidMegaProxy/`, и подтвердите скачивание.
4. После завершения скачивания откройте файл из уведомления браузера или системного приложения
**Загрузки**.
5. Если Android заблокировал установку, нажмите **Настройки** в показанном предупреждении и
разрешите пункт **Установка неизвестных приложений** или **Разрешить из этого источника** для
браузера либо файлового менеджера, из которого был открыт APK.
6. Вернитесь к системному установщику и нажмите **Установить**. После установки вы можете снова
отключить разрешение установки из этого источника.
7. Откройте MegaProxy. При первом подключении Android покажет системный запрос на создание
VPN-подключения — подтвердите его.

Названия системных пунктов могут немного отличаться в зависимости от версии Android и
производителя телефона. Не скачивайте APK MegaProxy со сторонних сайтов и зеркал.

## Проверка скачанного файла

В каждом релизе рядом с APK опубликован файл `SHA256SUMS`. Он содержит контрольные суммы всех APK.
При необходимости скачайте его и сравните SHA-256 выбранного APK с соответствующей строкой. Имя
файла и контрольная сумма должны совпадать полностью.

Проверка особенно важна, если APK был передан через сторонний канал. При скачивании используйте
ссылку непосредственно из официального GitHub-репозитория.

## Установка через ADB

В качестве альтернативы APK можно скачать на компьютер и установить через Android Platform Tools.
Включите на телефоне отладку по USB, подключите его к компьютеру и подтвердите системный запрос на
разрешение отладки. Убедитесь, что устройство отображается командой:

adb devices
```

Затем установите или обновите приложение:

```shell
adb install -r mega-proxy-v0.0.3-arm64-v8a.apk
```

Укажите фактическое имя скачанного APK. Параметр `-r` устанавливает новую версию поверх текущей и
сохраняет данные приложения.

## Обновление

Чтобы обновить MegaProxy:

1. Скачайте APK новой версии с той же архитектурой.
2. Откройте его на телефоне и подтвердите обновление существующего приложения.
3. Не удаляйте MegaProxy перед обновлением: удаление приложения стирает профили, известные ключи
SSH и остальные локальные настройки.

Android установит обновление поверх текущей версии только при совпадении идентификатора приложения
и ключа подписи. Все официальные релизные APK MegaProxy подписываются одним ключом проекта.

После установки или обновления рекомендуется открыть приложение, проверить выбранный профиль и
нажать **Тест** перед первым подключением.
