Senior distributed systems engineer at mulgadc, with a keen interest in storage systems, formal verification, and edge computing.
Currently working on:
- predastore - Fault tolerant, erasure coded, distributed object storage for edge deployments, with an interface that looks and feels exactly like S3 itself.
- viperblock - Self hosted, high-performance virtual disk service aiming to provide EBS-like operations without requiring a hyperscaler-quality network fabric.
When I'm not working on the projects above, I spend my time:
- Poring over formal verification and distributed systems literature (it's an obsession 😆)
- Prototyping analog audio electronics (mostly guitar pedals and synthesizers) in my home lab
- Automating my reptile/amphibian habitats with custom STM32, ESP32, and embedded Linux based devices
This is my work account. For personal projects and experiments, you can find me at @brynmailer.
