Many creative ideas never make it to the public because the process of turning a raw brain dump into a polished blog post is overwhelming. In my experience, despite having brilliant ideas, I never acted on them. The core problem is the gap between having an idea and producing a coherent, engaging blog post that reflects my personal voice and rigorous analytical depth.

The Idea2Blog Generator is designed to bridge that gap by automating the transformation of a raw brain dump into a fully formed blog post. The system processes my initial ideas, enhances and refines them through a multi-agent pipeline, and finally outputs a blog post written in my distinctive style. The key features include:
An agent (the Thought Processor) analyzes my initial ideas, “steel-manning” my arguments—strengthening the core points, adding supporting evidence, and identifying areas for further development.
Multiple windows display various aspects of the transformed content:
- AI Contributions: Shows added supporting evidence and reasoning.
- Omissions: Lists aspects or data points that were not included from the original brain dump.
- Improvement Areas: Identifies potential growth points and directions.
- User Edits: Provides a space for me to input refinements or enforce that certain points are retained.
A second agent takes the refined draft and converts it into a blog post that mirrors my unique writing style. This is achieved using a carefully tuned system prompt developed from my own writing samples.
The system is built as a multi-agent pipeline comprising two main components:
- Module: Implemented in
idea2draft2.py. - Function: Accepts a raw brain dump and generates three main outputs:
- Connected Narrative: A strengthened and cohesive narrative that ties all key arguments together.
- Growth Points: Suggestions for further development and expansion of the idea.
- AI Contributions: A breakdown of how the original ideas were enhanced with additional reasoning and evidence.
- Prompt Design: Uses a detailed prompt instructing the model to steel-man the argument, connect ideas, and propose growth directions while strictly preserving the original content.
- Module: Implemented in
Draft2Blog.py. - Function: Converts the refined narrative into a styled blog post.
- System Prompt: A meticulously crafted prompt that ensures the final output:
- Contains all original key ideas.
- Is reformulated in a style that mirrors my personal writing voice.
- Enhances presentation and readability without altering the core content.
- Output Formatting: The final blog post is enclosed in XML tags (i.e.,
<styled_draft></styled_draft>) to ensure consistency and easy extraction of content.
- Module:
orchestrator.pyserves as the glue that ties the agents together. - Framework: Built using FastAPI, the orchestrator exposes endpoints to:
- Process the initial idea.
- Refine the content based on user feedback.
- Finalize the blog post.
- User Interface: A web-based interface (with multiple windows) displays:
- The connected narrative.
- Growth points and AI contributions.
- A text area for manual refinements.
- The final styled blog post ready for publication.
- Google Generative AI API: Both agents (Thought Processor and Blog Converter) directly interact with Google’s Generative AI API using the
google-generativeaipackage. The models used include:- Thought Processor: Utilizes the
gemini-2.0-flash-thinking-exp-01-21model. - Blog Converter: Uses the
gemini-exp-1206model.
- Thought Processor: Utilizes the
- No Boilerplate or Abstraction Layers: The implementation eschews frameworks like LangChain or any boilerplate templates. Instead, all logic is directly written using standard Python modules, ensuring a lean and customized solution.
Draft2Blog.py: Contains the logic for converting drafts to styled blog posts, managing chat sessions with a custom system prompt, and maintaining conversion history.idea2draft2.py: Manages the processing of raw brain dumps, including parsing the response from the AI and storing interaction history.orchestrator.py: Sets up a FastAPI server to handle API requests and coordinate between the thought processing and blog conversion stages.requirements.txt: Lists the project dependencies: FastAPI, uvicorn, google-generativeai, and pydantic.
- Modularity: Each agent has a clear, defined responsibility (either enhancing arguments or converting drafts), making it easier to maintain and extend.
- Transparency: The system clearly indicates what the AI has added, what has been omitted, and where improvements can be made. This openness allows me to fine-tune the process.
- User Control: Despite the heavy automation, the design allows for human intervention at key stages—enabling me to manually adjust and steer the narrative as needed.
- Custom Writing Style: The blog conversion agent is fine-tuned with my writing samples, ensuring that every output resonates with my personal style.
The Idea2Blog Generator is a fully agentic pipeline that transforms raw ideas into polished blog posts without the crutch of third-party abstractions. It directly leverages the power of Google’s Generative AI to steel-man arguments and convert them into engaging content, all while giving me full control over the final narrative. This approach not only bridges the gap between ideation and publication but also ensures that my unique voice shines through every post.
