Production returned Cloudflare 1101 because Next.js 16.4 loads
preview-props.json, which the installed OpenNext adapter does not inline. The previous gate built successfully and smokednext start, so it missed the workerd exception.loadManifest(/.next/server/preview-props.json)call on Next.js 16.4 canary opennextjs/opennextjs-cloudflare#1355).Verified: the new smoke check reproduces the exact 500 manifest exception on the old bundle and passes all four probes after rebuilding on 16.2.12. Nineteen release/contracts tests, lint and Renovate config validation pass. Production was restored to its last verified working version while this repair runs through protected CI. GitHub and Renovate auto-merge remain off.
