Three low-poly scenes modelled, lit and rendered in Blender 4.5.8 LTS — a floating island
diorama with a cabin on a rock pillar, a night street of terraced houses, and a looping car
animation that drives around a miniature planet. The repo ships the .blend sources, the final
Cycles renders and the loop exports (MP4 + GIF), all openable and re-renderable as-is.
| Scene | Subject | Engine | Still / video | Geometry | Files |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Car Animation | Toy-sized car looping a road that wraps a spherical green hill, blob trees, flat sky | Cycles | 1920×1080 · 30 fps · 7.0 s loop | 17,162 verts · 32,818 tris | .blend · .mp4 · .gif |
| Low-Poly Island | Floating island diorama: wooden cabin on a rock pillar, deck, staircases, pines, pond, lanterns | Cycles | 4000×3400 · 24 fps | 8,875 verts · 16,284 tris | .blend · .jpg |
| Terraced Houses | Two terraced houses (ochre + burgundy) on a night street, glowing windows and street lamps | Cycles | 4000×3000 · 24 fps | 7,956 verts · 12,970 tris | .blend · .png |
Repo totals: 3 .blend sources · 515 objects (501 meshes) · 33,993 vertices · 62,072 triangles ·
44 materials · 0 image textures — every material is a flat, procedural or emissive shader, so
each .blend is fully self-contained (no external texture files to lose).
Requires Blender 4.5+ — the files are saved in format v405
and open cleanly in 4.5.8 LTS.

# Headless render of frame 1 (no GUI) — proves the scene renders end to end
blender -b terraced-houses/terraced-house.blend -o //render_ -F PNG -f 1
# Or open it in the GUI
blender low-poly-island/envanto-tutariol.blend # macOS/Linux
# Windows: File → Open → pick the .blendOpening a file gives you the full working scene: camera already framed, lights placed, render
settings (Cycles, resolution, samples) saved per project — press F12 to re-render.
Full-resolution frames are heavy (up to 4000×3400 Cycles), so each project README also shows a
--python-expr one-liner that drops resolution and samples for a fast sanity check.
A 7-second loop of a stylized yellow car driving around a hill that reads as a tiny planet: a curved road with dashed markings, blob-canopy trees, soft sun light and a flat blue sky with stylized clouds.
- 59 objects — 53 meshes, 4 lights (
Sun,Point, 2×Area), 1 camera, 1 empty - Animation — two actions (
SphereAction,VertAction); the loop is driven by object and shape-key animation, no armature/rigging - Scene render: 1920×1080 @ 30 fps, frames 1–210 (7.0 s)
- Exports:
car-animation.mp4(H.264, 1280×720, 30 fps, 7 s, 924 KB),car-animation.gif(800×450, 70 frames)
A faceted island diorama: a wooden cabin perched on a tall rock pillar with a wraparound deck and two staircases, pine trees, stumps and boulders, a small pond, lantern posts, a stone path, faceted water and a triangular low-poly sky. The tilting isometric camera keeps it reading as a miniature model.
- 158 objects — 153 meshes, 4 lights (
Sun,Sun.001,Area,Point), 1 camera - 11 named collections keep the scene navigable:
Wooden Deck,Wooden Fences,Roof,Walls,Window,Trees,Rocks,Water,Pavement,Lamp - 13 materials:
Island Inner,Island Outer,Rocks,Water,Stone Pavement,Wooden Deck,Wooden Plank,Wooden Pole,Wooden Window,Leaves,Glass,Metal,Light - Scene render: 4000×3400, 24 fps, frames 1–250
A night street: two terraced houses (warm ochre and deep burgundy) with emissive windows, a sidewalk with wooden fencing, glowing globe street lamps, dashed lane markings and dark tree silhouettes behind the buildings.
- 298 objects — 295 meshes, only 2 lights (
Sun+Point); the night mood comes from emissive window and lamp materials, not from placed lights - 19 materials incl.
Brick,Wood,Road,Window glass,Trees,Metalic - Scene render: 4000×3000, 24 fps, frames 1–250

scripts/blend_stats.py prints scene settings, collections, geometry
counts, materials, actions and image-texture usage as JSON:
blender -b low-poly-island/envanto-tutariol.blend -P scripts/blend_stats.py 2>/dev/null \
| sed -n '/###JSON###/,/###END###/p' | sed '1d;$d'- Tutorial-based work. Each scene was built by following public Blender tutorials. The source tutorials were not recorded at the time, so they are not linked here — if you recognise one behind a scene, open an issue and I'll add the credit.
- Material names carry a few typos from the original files (
Strone Front,Metalic,Lamb,Material.001…011), left as-is so the renders stay byte-identical to the saved scenes. - No rigging: the car loop is object/shape-key animation, so there is no armature to retarget.
- The largest committed asset is
terraced-houses.png(12 MB, 4000×3000); the README uses the 212 KB preview instead.
