Discreet, fast server and Docker container health monitoring for macOS menu bar. Zero agents required on remote hosts. Built with Swift and SwiftUI.

Overview

FleetBar gives you immediate visibility into remote servers and Docker containers without heavy monitoring stacks like Prometheus, Grafana, or Zabbix, and without installing background agents on your target hosts.

Everything runs locally on your Mac using standard SSH (BatchMode=yes) and POSIX shell commands.

Features

Native and Lightweight

Written in pure Swift and SwiftUI. Low memory footprint (~15 MB RAM), no webviews, no Electron.

Agentless Remote Monitoring

No agent or daemon required on the server. Connects over standard SSH and polls metrics using POSIX shell commands.

Docker Container Control

Detects Docker on remote hosts and local environments (OrbStack and Docker Desktop). View container state, restart containers, or open an interactive container shell in one click.

SSH Config Integration

Imports existing hosts from ~/.ssh/config for quick setup.

Quick Terminal Access

Launch your preferred macOS terminal (Terminal.app, iTerm2, Ghostty, Kitty) directly connected to the selected server.

Native System Alerts

Sends macOS notifications when disk or memory thresholds are exceeded, or when a host becomes unreachable.

Installation

Direct Download

Download the release DMG from getfleetbar.com/FleetBar.dmg, drag FleetBar.app to /Applications, and open it.

Building from Source

Prerequisites: macOS 13.0 or later, Swift 5.9 or Xcode Command Line Tools.

Development
