Tech stack

• Plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with no framework and no build step
• Hosted on GitHub Pages with a custom domain (CNAME)
• Images served as WebP, with phone-size copies (srcset)
• Lighthouse scores 100 for accessibility, best practices and SEO

Running locally

Open index.html in a browser, or serve the folder so root-relative links (used by 404.html) work:

python -m http.server 8000

Then visit http://localhost:8000.

Making changes

• Header and footer are copied into every page. To change the menu or footer, update every HTML file.
• Shared styles go in css/styles.css. Page-only styles stay in that page's <style> block.
• New pages need the same <head> tags as the others (title, description, canonical, share tags, icons), the skip link, <main id="main-content">, and an entry in sitemap.xml.
• New or replaced photos need WebP copies (full size, plus -400 and -800 for <img> photos).

Deployment

Pushing to main publishes the site to GitHub Pages automatically.
