Summary

Clarify the layout and meaning of the main MeshGraphNets CFD dataset fields.

The issue asks whether cells, mesh_pos, node_type, velocity, and pressure are node- or mesh-level values and what the node types represent. This change documents that:

  • cells contains triangular connectivity and is indexed by cells, not nodes
  • mesh_pos, node_type, velocity, and pressure are organized per mesh node
  • velocity and pressure are field values sampled at node positions
  • node type values come from the shared NodeType enum in common.py
  • the provided CFD model uses velocity plus one-hot node type as node features and mesh positions for edge features, while pressure is not an input to the demonstration model

Fixes #326.

Validation

Documentation-only change. Verified against meshgraphnets/common.py, meshgraphnets/cfd_model.py, and the existing maintainer explanation on #326.

The final branch is based on current upstream master, contains one commit, and changes only meshgraphnets/README.md.

Could a maintainer review the MeshGraphNets dataset field-layout documentation and arrange a fresh approved workflow run? The previous security run ended with no jobs after 30 days, which looks like expired approval.
