Updates @gopherium/godmin from 0.24.1 to 0.26.0

Changelog

Sourced from @gopherium/godmin's changelog.

[0.26.0] - 2026-10-24

Added

  • MenuItem takes an optional count, a number and the sentence a screen reader reads in its place, drawn as a MenuCount after the label.
  • DrilldownItem takes a suffix, drawn before its chevron, as NavigationItem takes one, so a row that opens a sub menu shows its count there.

Fixed

  • MenuCount draws its pill in the brand blue of the scheme with a contrasting digit, at least 3:1 against the sidebar, the current row and the phone drawer, and centres it on the line so the label no longer moves.

[0.25.0] - 2026-10-23

Added

  • HUGE_BREAKPOINT, 1440, the WordPress huge breakpoint.
  • routerDefaults() in @gopherium/godmin/router returns the options a router spreads into createRouter: preload on intent and no pending screen, as WordPress's new admin sets them.
  • The route static data takes Sidebar, the sidebar screen every page under the route shows, and capability, the capability a reader must hold to open the route.
  • NavigationList, NavigationItem and DrilldownItem in @gopherium/godmin/router draw the rows of a sidebar menu as the Site Editor draws them: a list of links, each with an icon, a label and a count or a chevron.
  • NavigationItem and DrilldownItem take the props of a TanStack Link, such as className and onClick, and draw the app's class after their own. A DrilldownItem takes its id from its address.
  • MenuItem in @gopherium/godmin/router is a row of a sidebar menu as data, with an optional capability and a fallback row shown in its place.
  • useCanAccess(can) in @gopherium/godmin/router tells whether a reader may open a row: its own capability and the capability of every route its address opens. A row that names a capability is hidden when no can is given.
  • Navigation in @gopherium/godmin/router is the sidebar menu: the root screen from its title and items, or the Sidebar screen of the deepest matched route, which slides in from the end after a DrilldownItem and from the start after Back. It moves focus to Back going in and to the row coming out, hands every row its can, sends Back on a sub screen to the app's home and needs a Frame.Root above it.
  • Frame.Sidebar takes footer and footerNote, drawn under the menu in the column and in the drawer, the note in 12px text on a 16px line in both.
  • The sidebar screen scrolls with WordPress's scrollbar look, its thumb shown on hover, on focus and on touch screens.
  • The phone drawer ends in a close button named "Close navigation panel", the name WordPress gives its phone backdrop, hidden from sight and the tab order so only a screen reader meets it.
  • godmin translates "Back", "Navigation", "Open navigation panel" and "Close navigation panel" in the default text domain, as @wordpress/ui translates its own words, with Spanish and French in the catalogues listChromeCatalogFor returns.
  • Back on a NavigationScreen draws the right chevron when the locale reads right to left, as WordPress picks it with isRTL().
  • Page takes headingLevel, 1 by default as in admin-ui's Page, and PageTitle takes the same level. A screen beside the sidebar passes 2, and a SectionTitle inside it renders one level deeper at the same size.

Changed

  • useFrameLocation returns the pathname followed by the search, so a phone drawer closes when only the search changes.
  • The phone drawer stays open when a DrilldownItem or Back moves the sidebar, and closes on any other page change.
  • The phone drawer takes the fill of the sidebar column, so the sticky title row and footer of a screen match it.
  • The phone drawer is drawn as WordPress's new admin draws its phone sidebar: from the top of the screen, as wide as the sidebar column (300px, at most 85% of the screen), square, with no border and with its shadow.
  • The phone drawer dims the page under it black at 0.5 with the pointer cursor, as WordPress's new admin dims it under its phone sidebar.
  • The phone menu button draws WordPress's menu icon in the full chrome text colour, as the new admin's toggle does.
  • The sidebar column is one region named "Navigation", its menu and footer inside, as the Site Editor's sidebar is. Frame.Sidebar takes label to name it, and Navigation draws no landmark of its own.
  • ListEmpty draws its title one level under the title of the Page around it, an h3 inside a level 2 Page, at the same size.
  • List titles are bold, as DataViews and the WordPress lists draw them, in a DataViews table and in a hand table on a list page.
  • Breaking. NavigationScreen draws the Site Editor's screen: its title, now any node, in a 20px h1 at the 56px mark, Back as a 32px chevron box going to the app's home inside a Navigation, and no focus on mount.
  • Breaking. The sidebar column and the drawer lose their 16px padding. The screen pads its rows instead.
  • Breaking. The @tanstack/react-router peer starts at 1.170.44, whose route matching runs no route context.
  • Breaking. @wordpress/i18n is a required peer, since the main entry translates godmin's own words.
  • Breaking. Frame.Sidebar names its menu button "Open navigation panel" by default, WordPress's words, in place of "Open navigation", and names its drawer "Navigation" whatever the button is called.
  • Breaking. PageTabs draws its tabs in a ul role="list", each PageTab in its own li, and the .godmin-page-tabs class and its fade classes move from the nav to that list.
  • Breaking. Frame.Rail is Frame.Sidebar and FrameRailProps is FrameSidebarProps, the names WordPress gives the part.
  • Breaking. The sidebar slot class .godmin-layout__rail is .godmin-layout__sidebar.
  • Breaking. The width custom property --godmin-rail-width is --godmin-nav-sidebar-width, as the Site Editor names it.

Updates @gopherium/gottext from 0.6.0 to 0.7.0

Changelog

Sourced from @gopherium/gottext's changelog.

[0.7.0] - 2026-10-18

Changed

  • Breaking: messages keeps only the calls naming the given domain, and so does pot for the calls it reads from sources. A call naming no domain belongs to default, and a call whose domain is not a string literal is kept. Go markers and templates are read as before. An app whose catalogue loads under the default domain builds its template with domain: 'default'.

Fixed

  • untranslated reports plural messages missing forms required by the catalogue's Plural-Forms header, including answers flattened to one form in the catalogue. It rejects a declared rule with no usable count, matching catalogue sync, and defaults to two forms only when the header is absent.

Updates @gopherium/react-auth from 0.13.0 to 0.15.0

Changelog

Sourced from @gopherium/react-auth's changelog.

[0.15.0] - 2026-10-23

Changed

  • Breaking. usersNavItem is renamed usersMenuItem, the name WordPress's admin gives a menu row. The old name is gone.
  • The Users row draws people from @wordpress/icons, WordPress's people icon, in place of its own glyph.
  • @wordpress/icons from 18.0.0 joins @wordpress/ui as an optional peer of /wpds.

[0.14.0] - 2026-10-21

Added

  • SetupCodeStep in /wpds, the screen that asks for the setup code, modelled on Jenkins' "Unlock Jenkins", with fileHint for where the application keeps the code file.
  • SetupAccountStep in /wpds, the account rows of WordPress's installer (Name, Password, Your Email), with WordPress's password strength meter and its "Confirm use of weak password" row.
  • The meter loads zxcvbn 4.4.1, WordPress's version, on demand as its own chunk.
  • isSetupOpen, checkSetupCode and createFirstAccount, with SetupCodeError, SetupClosedError and SiteStartingError. A ValidationError from createFirstAccount carries the server's code and meta.
  • The FirstAccount and Account types on the package entry point.
  • The testing handlers setupStatus, setupCodeOk, setupCodeRefused, setupCodeClosed, setupCodeRateLimited, setupCodeStarting, firstAccountOk, firstAccountCodeRefused, firstAccountClosed, firstAccountRateLimited and firstAccountStarting, with createdAccount, the account firstAccountOk answers by default.

Changed

  • Breaking. AuthTransport gains isSetupOpen, checkSetupCode and createFirstAccount. A partial transport given to configureAuthTransport keeps working.
  • The Spanish catalogue declares the three CLDR plural forms.

Updates @wordpress/theme from 2.3.0 to 3.0.0

Changelog

Sourced from @wordpress/theme's changelog.

3.0.0 (2026-10-20)

Breaking Changes

  • Raise the minimum required Node.js version to >=22.13.0, for stable require(esm) support (#84313).

New Features

  • Add tokens and groups named exports to design-tokens.js, exposing descriptions, types, the full group hierarchy, default DTCG and CSS values, and build-plugin fallback expressions for every semantic token while retaining the default token-name list (#76604).
  • Export the $description of token groups on their groups nodes in design-tokens.js, and add descriptions for the dimension and border width groups (#84373).

Enhancements

  • ThemeProvider uses the prebuilt ramps of the default seed colors instead of building them, so a provider seeded with the default colors (such as the default admin color scheme) builds no ramp at all (#85182).

Internal

  • Update @testing-library/user-event to 14.6.8 for Theme tests (#85068).
  • Update Terrazzo token-generation tools to 2.9.0 (#85067).
  • Consolidate border mode overrides in the resolver and inherit default values from the base tokens (#84108).
  • Update the Vite development dependency to 8.3.4 (#84544).

Documentation

  • Add Color, Border, Dimension, and Cursor pages to the Storybook design tokens docs, and show token descriptions on the Typography page (#84373).

Updates @wordpress/ui from 0.24.0 to 0.25.0

Changelog

Sourced from @wordpress/ui's changelog.

0.25.0 (2026-10-20)

Breaking Changes

  • SearchableSelect and SearchableSelectControl: Remove triggerContent. Pass custom content as children of a .Trigger element through the trigger prop instead (#84934).
  • Link: Styled links with a new-tab indicator now wrap their content in a span. Update flex/grid compositions and direct-child selectors that rely on the content being a direct child of the anchor, and review anchor-level underline overrides (#84806).
  • SelectControl: Remove the triggerContent prop. Pass custom content as children of a SelectControl.Trigger element through the trigger prop instead (#84828).
  • Select, Autocomplete, Combobox, and the select controls: actionsRef no longer keeps closed popups mounted. For externally controlled exit animations, call eventDetails.preventUnmountOnClose() in onOpenChange when closing, then actionsRef.current?.unmount() when the animation ends. Close through actionsRef.current?.close() to run that handler. Automatic CSS exit animations need no migration. See Base UI's migration guide (#84542).
  • The actionsRef types for these components now require close(). Add it to manually constructed action objects and ref stubs. See [Base UI #5734](mui/base-ui#5734) (#84542).
  • Autocomplete, Combobox, and the searchable selects and controls: onItemHighlighted now receives native events. Accept MouseEvent | PointerEvent for pointer highlights, handle none when typing or clearing and pointer when hovering after keyboard navigation, and avoid canceling or stopping the event unless intended. See [Base UI #5838](mui/base-ui#5838) (#84542).
  • Raise the minimum required Node.js version to >=22.13.0, for stable require(esm) support (#84313).

New Features

  • Avatar: Add Avatar.Initials using the first and last words with complete Unicode characters, and a borderless person icon as the default fallback (#84653).
  • Add Avatar.Root, Avatar.Image, and Avatar.Fallback for profile images with customizable fallbacks, circle and square shapes, a neutral border, five sizes from 16px to 64px, and a reduced-motion-aware image fade. (#84145)
  • Breadcrumb: Add ButtonItem ancestors for hierarchy selection, current-only trails, and customizable CurrentItem aria-current (#84156).

Enhancements

  • SearchableSelect and SearchableSelectControl: Add a trigger slot and .Trigger subcomponents for customizing trigger props (#84934).
  • Avatar: Use color for fallback backgrounds with contrasting text and icons (#84824).
  • Avatar: Add an optional color prop for an internal ring, preserving the avatar's layout size and neutral fallbacks while leaving room for an external focus ring (#84822).
  • SelectControl: Add a trigger slot and SelectControl.Trigger subcomponent for customizing trigger props (#84828).
  • Link: Use a small border radius for consistent focus rings in the default variant (#84697).
  • Tabs: Add interaction backgrounds to unselected tabs, preserve keyboard focus rings, and replace vertical chevrons with content-height selection lines without widening minimal tab lists (#84572).
  • Dialog: Use the WordPress compatibility overlay slot as the default portal container when available, preserving explicit container overrides, including null to delay rendering (#84379).
  • Drawer: Use the WordPress compatibility overlay slot as the default portal container when available, preserving explicit container overrides, including null to delay rendering (#84380).
  • Dialog: Add an opt-in auto popup size that fits content within the responsive minimum and viewport inset (#84559).
  • Select, Combobox, Autocomplete, and the select controls: Tighten popup item spacing, use 16px selection indicators, and align group labels and separators with item content (#84393).
  • Button, IconButton: Use the shared Spinner for loading indicators (#84321).
  • useEnableWpCompatOverlaySlot: Mark as recommended for use in a WordPress environment (#84305).

Bug Fixes

  • Avatar: Use the strong neutral stroke color for the person fallback to provide sufficient non-text contrast (#84824).
  • Tabs: Expand vertical tab interaction backgrounds and focus rings across the row (#84821).
  • Keep the Link new-tab indicator with the preceding text when wrapping (#84806).
  • Select: Keep long popup lists scrollable when item alignment falls back to anchored positioning or the popup opens through touch (#84682).
  • Combobox.Input, SearchableSelect, and SearchableSelectControl: Orient the search icon toward the top left in LTR and the top right in RTL (#84690).
  • Avatar: Show missing and failed image fallbacks immediately despite a delay, preserve custom fallback rendering, scale fallback SVGs with the avatar, and preserve decorative avatar layout and typography inside wp-admin trees (#84653).
  • Breadcrumb: Apply hierarchy-selection labels to the ordered list instead of its wrapper, while retaining navigation landmark labels for page breadcrumbs (#84295).
  • Breadcrumb: Align button, link, and current-item padding, separate button hover backgrounds from separators, and preserve list semantics in Safari (#84295).
  • Breadcrumb.CurrentItem: Exclude false values from the aria-current type (#84295).
  • Notice: Tint controls and their focus rings with the notice intent color and preserve title colors when composed with Text (#84571).
  • Popover, Menu, Tooltip, Select, Autocomplete, and Combobox: Preserve an explicit null portal container so popup content waits until its target is available (#84370).
  • Menu, Popover: Keep popups open when the user interacts with an iframe inside the popup. (#83870)
  • AlertDialog: Use the WordPress compatibility overlay slot as the default portal container when available, preserving an explicit null container to delay rendering (#83878).

Updates @wordpress/components from 42.0.0 to 43.0.0

Changelog

Sourced from @wordpress/components's changelog.

43.0.0 (2026-10-20)

Breaking Changes

  • Components no longer use Emotion for styling, class-name composition, or cross-document style injection. Consumers that compose source-order-dependent Emotion fragments must combine them in a single css() call before passing the resulting className. Consumers using @emotion/react or @emotion/styled that relied on StyleProvider's cross-document cache must provide their own cache targeting that document's <head> and wrap the subtree in CacheProvider; StyleProvider continues to register CSS Module styles. Components no longer supply Framer Motion's optional Emotion DOM prop validator; without a validator, __unstableMotion forwards non-animation props to the rendered element. This includes:
    • Context-system class-name composition (#84925).
    • StyleProvider cache removal (#85019).
    • Removal of the remaining Emotion dependencies and obsolete snapshot helpers (#85022).
    • SelectControl (#84732)
    • DatePicker (#84724)
    • FocalPointPicker (#84736)
    • InputControl, InputControlPrefixWrapper, and InputControlSuffixWrapper (#84728).
    • Menu (#84706)
    • Navigator (#84565)
    • UnitControl (#84561)
    • RangeControl (#84562)
    • Tabs (#84332)
    • NumberControl (#84330)
    • TimePicker (#84331)
    • CustomSelectControl and CustomSelectControlV2 (#84131)
    • DateTimePicker (#84129)
    • ColorPicker (#84128)
  • Raise the minimum required Node.js version to >=22.13.0, for stable require(esm) support (#84313).

Enhancements

  • BorderBoxControl, BorderControl, Heading, InputControl, Menu, RangeControl, Text, ToolsPanel: Use semantic WPDS tokens for typography, spacing, border previews, and range rails (#85038).
  • ColorPicker: Use Select from @wordpress/ui for the color format selector (#83035).
  • ExternalLink: Use a small border radius for consistent focus rings (#84697).
  • Menu: Use WPDS motion tokens for popup transition durations and slide easing (#84706).
  • TabPanel: Add interaction backgrounds to unselected tabs, preserve keyboard focus rings, and size neutral vertical selection lines to the content (#84572).
  • Popover: Use the design-system stroke color, border width, radius, and background on the default surface. Dropdown and DropdownMenu pick this up through Popover (#84574).
  • Snackbar: Keep snackbars that have an action on screen for 10 seconds instead of 6 before they are dismissed automatically (#84842).
  • Tabs: Show the tab panel's focus ring with the design system's outline instead of a legacy box-shadow (#84914).
  • RangeControl: Add a size prop with default and compact options (#69844).

Deprecations

  • Tip: Deprecate in favor of Notice from @wordpress/ui, preserving the legacy component for existing consumers (#84197).

Bug Fixes

  • Tabs, TabPanel: Expand vertical tab interaction backgrounds and focus rings across the row (#84821).
  • StyleProvider: Register module styles before children measure layout in iframe documents (#84736).
  • BorderBoxControl: Unpack multi-value CSS box shorthand strings (such as "0 0 0 2px") into individual side widths when splitting borders (#84826).
  • SelectControl: Preserve the minimal variant's inline layout in iframe documents (#84732).
  • DatePicker: Keep month navigation in a grid in iframe documents (#84724).
  • InputControl: Preserve the label wrapper's maximum width in iframe documents (#84728).
  • PaletteEdit: Name picker dialogs and add screen-reader-only dismissal controls while preserving live edits (#84333).
  • Grid: Fix the bottomLeft alignment, which resolved to the top right corner instead of the bottom left one (#82641).

Changelog

Sourced from @wordpress/dataviews's changelog.

21.0.0 (2026-10-20)

Breaking Changes

  • Raise the minimum required Node.js version to >=22.13.0, for stable require(esm) support (#84313).
  • DataViews.BulkActionToolbar now renders nothing; built-in table and grid layouts include bulk actions automatically (#82730).

Enhancements

  • Format footer item and selection counts with locale-specific separators (#84622).
  • DataForm: The text control's prefix and suffix accept a string, and the new prefixPadding and suffixPadding options use the minimal slot padding for icons and buttons. (#84314)
  • Show bulk actions in table and grid headers, with a labeled action menu on mobile (#82730).

Bug Fixes

  • Restore focus to the grid selection checkbox after cancelling bulk selection (#82730).
  • Enable overlay compatibility for DataViews and DataViewsPicker in directly bundled applications so @wordpress/ui popups stack above @wordpress/components overlays (#84305).
  • DataForm: Center the prefix and suffix of the text control's Edit config vertically and give them the standard input padding, so consumers pass only the content. (#84314)

Internal
