📝 WalkthroughWalkthroughThe changes fix catalogue merging, flattened export handling, printf placeholder validation, transactional locale startup, peer-qualified lockfile parsing, and concurrent platform upload pacing. Tests cover each corrected behavior, and the changelog records the fixes. ChangesTranslation Sync Fixes
Estimated code review effort: 3 (Moderate) | ~25 minutes Merge Risk: 🔵 Low · up to The PR improves catalogue merging, placeholder validation, locale switching, and upload serialization, but edge cases remain where a special proto context can be lost, an escaped printf literal can be misvalidated, and locale state may be affected by superseded starts or shared catalogue ownership. The change is mergeable with explicit owner awareness and follow-up on these bounded correctness risks. 🚥 Pre-merge checks | ✅ 4 | ❌ 1❌ Failed checks (1 warning)

Hyphenate the compound modifiers.
Use `constructor`-named context and peer-qualified in the Unreleased notes.

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win
Ignore escaped percent sequences before matching placeholders.
NAMED and BARE match from the second % in %%02d or %%(held)05.2f. The validator can then accept an unescaped conversion in a translation as equivalent to a literal escaped sequence in the source. Exclude %% tokens before placeholder matching, and add a regression test for a source literal %%02d with a translated %02d.

What
Six fixes from the adoption review, one commit per issue. A catalogue entry under the context named constructor survives every merge instead of vanishing onto the global Object, and pushing one no longer crashes when the platform lacks the context. A flattened export keeps every local plural form in the push, since an entry now settles only when the export answers at least the forms the committed catalogue holds. Concurrent platform uploads queue behind each other, delay and retry included, so they cannot share one pacing window. The locale start is transactional, the display locale commits only after every catalogue loads, a superseded start drops its results whole, and every switch replaces each domain's catalogue instead of merging stale entries. The placeholder gate reads printf modifiers, so a translation dropping or changing forms such as %02d or a named placeholder carrying width and precision is caught. Peer qualified lockfile keys answer their bare versions.
Why
Every fix closes a confirmed defect. Three were reproduced by probe before the issues were filed, two arrived with executed reproductions in review, and the pacing race is the same check then act shape fixed twice elsewhere recently. Two of them, the placeholder gate and the plural push, guard the exact paths the coming translation sync work will exercise.
Testing
Every fix was written red first and the failing output of each defect is quoted in the work log before its fix. The full suite stands at 168 tests across 8 files, all green under Node 22. Two guards were additionally planted back after the fact, reverting the constructor guard failed its test and disabling the superseded start check failed the race test, then both were restored. The highest cyclomatic complexity among changed functions is 7 against the limit of 10.
