feat: Make toasts behave like the WordPress snackbar - #83
Toasts centre on the whole window, the sidebar included, --wpds-dimension-size-md (32px) above the bottom.
A toast with an action stays 10 seconds, set by the new actionDismissAfter prop. dismissAfter now times only a toast with no action.
A click anywhere on a toast clears it. The close button is gone, and only the action takes keyboard focus. The action shows the design system focus ring in white.
A toast grows in and fades, and the others slide instead of jumping, as the WordPress snackbar does. Under a reduced motion preference a toast shows and goes at once.
A toast keeps 4px corners, and its action ring 2px, at every corner preset.
Names are no longer cut. useToaster().name and the nameLength prop are gone.
docs/design-system/toasts.md holds every toast value, and the other pages link to it.
Why
godmin follows the WordPress admin, and its toasts differed from the WordPress snackbar in place, timing, clicks and motion.
Testing Instructions
Build and pack the package, then install it in a small app that renders Frame and Toaster.
Raise a plain toast, a toast with an action and three toasts in a row. Each sits in the middle of the window, the others slide when one arrives or leaves, and Tab reaches only the action.

Walkthrough
The toaster now uses separate default dismissal times for action and plain toasts. Toasts dismiss on click, action toasts have no separate close button, and toast names are no longer truncated through the toaster API. The update also changes toast layout and motion, adds a design-system reference, and updates related documentation and tests.
Action toasts use a separate timeout, dismiss on click, and no longer have a separate close button. The name and nameLength APIs are removed. Departure handling moves to a toast wrapper, and tests cover dismissal, timing, focus, overflow, and API shape. Documentation describes the updated behavior and migration.
Toast layout and motion src/base.css, test/base-css.test.ts, test/css-rules.ts, test/toast-motion-css.test.ts, docs/design-system/motion.md
The toast region spans the viewport and uses token-based spacing. Toast items animate stack growth and closure, and reduced-motion rules set toast animation duration and delay. CSS tests cover positioning, styling, animation, and reduced-motion behavior.
A new page documents toast placement, appearance, timing, motion, dismissal, keyboard interaction, and announcements. Related design-system pages link to the new reference. Tests compare documented values with implementation and styles.

Explanation
Issue [#82] is directly linked and open. The reviewed changes implement its coding requirements. Toaster centers the toast region across the viewport with the 32px bottom offset, uses separate plain and action durations, and adds actionDismissAfter. Toast clicks dismiss the toast, the separate close button is removed, and only the action remains keyboard-focusable. The changes preserve the toast and action focus-ring corner requirements, add arrival, departure, reflow, and reduced-motion behavior, and remove name truncation and its public APIs. The new Design System page documents the toast values. Tests cover these behaviors and API changes.
Full details: Out of Scope Changes check
Explanation
The changes stay within issue [#82]. Source, tests, and Design System updates implement toast placement, timing, interaction, focus, styling, motion, documentation, and API changes. The upgrade guide and changelog document the related breaking changes. The README browser-note removal is connected to removal of the Intl.Segmenter-based name truncation. No unrelated product behavior is demonstrated.
