Scaffolding maintained in this repository: - .github/workflows/ci.yml: build/vet/test (-short -race), golangci-lint (hive's enabled set), crux serve smoke on linux+macOS, goreleaser check - .github/workflows/sync-guard.yml: refuses PRs touching Go code; source of truth is hivecommons/hive src/crux - .github/workflows/release.yml + .goreleaser.yaml: on tag v*, darwin/linux x amd64/arm64 archives, cosign-signed checksums, GitHub release, multi-arch ghcr.io/hivecommons/crux image (alpine + tmux) - .github/scripts/smoke.sh, Dockerfile, .golangci.yml Everything else is the first publish of hivecommons/hive src/crux (see .hive-sync) with the module path rewritten to github.com/hivecommons/crux by hive's src/scripts/crux-publish.sh. …oke.sh The nested module now ships cmd/crux, its Makefile and scripts/smoke.sh (hive #14203), so CI and the release pre-flight run that script instead of a duplicate kept here. Standalone test fixes from hive #14209 are in. Signed-off-by: Andrew Anderson <andy@clubanderson.com>

Verified locally:GOWORK=off go build ./... && go vet ./..., lint clean, non-agent tests pass with-race.README is left untouched here; Install / Quick start / source-of-truth sections follow in a separate commit after the positioning edits land.
