Summary

Upgrades every outdated dependency to its latest major, except zod and @tanstack/react-table (intentionally kept on zod 3 / react-table 8), and releases the packages whose published output changes.

Upgrades

  • TypeScript 5.9 → 7.0 for package builds. TypeScript 7 ships no JS compiler API, so TypeScript 6.0.3 is hoisted at the root for tools that need it (tsup --dts, typescript-eslint, SvelteKit). The SvelteKit example and the two Vite apps use TS 6 as well.
  • Vitest 5, Vite 8, ESLint 10 (+ @eslint/js, globals, react-refresh plugin), jsdom 30, tsup 9, @types/node 26, dotenv 18, shadcn 4, @vitejs/plugin-react 6
  • SvelteKit 3 (+ adapter-auto 8, vite-plugin-svelte 7) in the example
  • react-day-picker 9 → 10 (runtime dependency of @tablecraft/table)

Required code changes

  • tsconfig: list "types": ["node"] where packages relied on implicitly loaded @types globals (codegen, adapter-hono, adapter-next, plugin-cache); remove the baseUrl option, which TS 7 removed.
  • react-day-picker 10: removed table class key → month_grid (table package + demo calendar).
  • @tablecraft/adapter-sveltekit: SvelteKit 3 removed base from $app/paths, so the published adapter fails to build on kit 3 (MISSING_EXPORT "base"). The base path is now derived from resolve('/') resolved against the request URL, which handles kit's default paths.relative mode and works on kit 2.57.1+ and 3. Handle is declared locally because kit 3 moved it to @sveltejs/kit/hooks. Added a test for the relative-path case.
  • sveltekit-example: migrated to SvelteKit 3: config moved into sveltekit() in vite.config.ts, $lib replaced by #lib subpath imports, tsconfig extends $app/tsconfig.
  • vite-web-example: fixed 2 lint errors (ESLint 10 preserve-caught-error, react-hooks set-state-in-effect).

Release

  • @tablecraft/table 0.2.27 → 0.2.28: also ships the timezone-aware exports from feat(table): support timezone-aware exports #39, which were not on npm yet
  • @tablecraft/adapter-sveltekit 0.2.0 → 0.3.0
  • Other packages only have devDependency changes, so they are not republished.

Notes

  • Local dev now needs Node.js 24.15+ (or 22.22+) because of vitest 5, jsdom 30, tsup 9 and SvelteKit 3.
  • bun audit: 4 → 2 advisories, both dev-only and not fixable. braces (via the shadcn CLI) has no patched release, and esbuild 0.18 comes from drizzle-kit's deprecated @esbuild-kit.

Validation (local, Node 24.22.1, clean dist, CI order)

  • bun install --frozen-lockfile
  • bun run typecheck
  • bun test: 543 passed (engine 377, table 120, adapter-sveltekit 27, client 19)
  • bun run build
  • hono-example test:integration against Postgres: 12/12
  • SvelteKit example on kit 3, run against a seeded Postgres: all test-api assertions pass (the test's process.kill(-pid) cleanup is POSIX-only, so it was checked manually on Windows)
  • svelte-check: 0 errors · eslint on vite-web-example and web: clean
  • npm pack --dry-run for both release packages

Upgrade every outdated dependency to its latest major except zod and
@tanstack/react-table (kept on zod 3 / react-table 8 on purpose).

- TypeScript 7 for package builds; TypeScript 6.0.3 hoisted at the root
for tools that need the compiler API (tsup dts, typescript-eslint,
SvelteKit), since TypeScript 7 ships no JS API
- list "node" in tsconfig types where @types globals were relied on
implicitly, and drop removed baseUrl options
- Vitest 5, Vite 8, ESLint 10, jsdom 30, tsup 9, dotenv 18, shadcn 4
- react-day-picker 10: rename the removed `table` class key to `month_grid`
- adapter-sveltekit: support SvelteKit 3 (and keep 2.57.1+) by deriving
the base path from `resolve()` instead of the removed `base` export,
and declaring the `Handle` type locally
- sveltekit-example: migrate to SvelteKit 3 (config in the vite plugin,
#lib subpath imports, tsconfig extends $app/tsconfig)
- vite-web-example: fix ESLint 10 / react-hooks lint errors

Local development now needs Node.js 24.15+ (or 22.22+).

📝 Walkthrough

This update records the 0.2.28 and adapter 0.3.0 releases, changes the SvelteKit adapter to derive base paths with resolve(), and updates the SvelteKit example configuration. It also refreshes calendar and tooling dependencies and adjusts URL-number synchronization in the Vite example.

Changes: Release and compatibility updates

Layer / File(s) Summary
SvelteKit adapter base-path compatibility
packages/adapter-sveltekit/src/*, packages/adapter-sveltekit/test/index.test.ts, packages/adapter-sveltekit/package.json, CHANGELOG.md
The adapter replaces the $app/paths base import with resolve('/') to derive the base path. It exports a local Handle type, passes the request URL to prefix handling, and adds a test for a relative resolved root.
SvelteKit example configuration
apps/sveltekit-example/package.json, apps/sveltekit-example/src/hooks.server.ts, apps/sveltekit-example/tsconfig.json, apps/sveltekit-example/vite.config.ts, apps/sveltekit-example/svelte.config.js
The example updates its SvelteKit imports, aliases, TypeScript configuration, and Vite plugin setup. The SvelteKit configuration file is removed.
Calendar v10 updates
packages/table/package.json, packages/table/src/components/calendar.tsx, apps/vite-web-example/package.json, apps/vite-web-example/src/components/ui/calendar.tsx, CHANGELOG.md
The table package and Vite example update to react-day-picker v10 and use the month_grid class-name key for calendar styling.
Vite example state and error handling
apps/vite-web-example/src/hooks/useDebouncedUrlNumber.ts, apps/vite-web-example/src/pages/orders-rest-page.tsx, apps/vite-web-example/tsconfig*.json
URL-to-local synchronization moves from an effect to render-time checks. Network errors retain the caught error as their cause, and baseUrl settings are removed.
Workspace tooling updates
package.json, apps/hono-example/*, apps/web/package.json, packages/*/package.json, packages/*/tsconfig.json
Development dependency ranges are updated across the workspace. Several package TypeScript configurations explicitly include Node.js types.

**API requests pass through to SvelteKit**

When the request URL ends in a slash and `resolvePath('/')` returns a relative path, `getBasePath` resolves the relative path against the raw request URL, so URL resolution includes an extra path segment in the base. `stripPrefix` then fails to recognize the API route and passes it to SvelteKit instead of the adapter.

Resolve the base path without letting a trailing slash on the request URL add a path segment.

**Setup guide promises unsupported Node**

When a contributor follows the setup guide using Node.js 18 or a version below 22.22, cONTRIBUTING.md tells contributors that Node.js 18 is compatible, but this upgrade raises the local-development minimum to Node.js 24.15+ or 22.22+. Contributors following the setup guide on older Node versions hit unsupported tooling while installing or running checks.

Update the CONTRIBUTING.md Node.js prerequisite to match the new supported versions.

Type the hook fixture.

Accept the SvelteKit 2 hook callback type.

SvelteKit 2 types resolve as returning MaybePromise<Response>, while this exported Handle requires Promise<Response>. A consumer using a SvelteKit 2 Handle annotation can therefore get a type error when assigning the result of createSvelteKitHandle, despite the declared >=2.57.1 peer range. Widen the local callback return type to Response | Promise<Response>; the adapter can still return Promise<Response>. SvelteKit documents the return-type change in its v3 migration guide. - widen Handle's resolve return to Response | Promise<Response> so it is
