Topical Authority Intelligence Engine (TAIE)

A unified pipeline for analyzing, mapping, and generating topical authority using hybrid semantic methods.

Overview

TAIE is a full-stack semantic engine that ingests content, models the conceptual universe of a topic or site, identifies missing areas of coverage, and generates Koray-style outlines and content to fill the gaps.

It merges:

  • Entity-driven SEO
  • Semantic clustering
  • GPT-powered conceptual extraction
  • Traditional NLP
  • SERP-driven intent modeling
  • Internal linking intelligence

This document represents the single, unified, up-to-date specification, synthesized from strategy notes, transcripts, topical mapping outlines, and Koray-based content frameworks.

Core Philosophy

TAIE is built around one central belief:

A site achieves authority when it fully represents the entities, attributes, relationships, and user intents that make up its topic’s conceptual space.

To operationalize that, TAIE:

  1. Reverse-engineers the knowledge graph behind a topic
  2. Evaluates coverage gaps
  3. Predicts behavioral / intent paths
  4. Generates entity-saturated, intent-aligned content

Pipeline Architecture

TAIE consists of six major stages.

1. Ingest & Normalize

Inputs may include:

  • Sitemap or URL list
  • Scraped article text
  • PDFs, docs, research notes
  • Seed topics or keyword lists

Output:

  • Clean text
  • Structural metadata (H1s, sections, lists)
  • Extracted PAAs
  • Content blocks ready for semantic analysis

2. Hybrid Semantic Extraction

TAIE uses a hybrid approach:

Traditional NLP (fast, deterministic)

Extracts:

  • Named entities
  • N-grams
  • Keywords
  • Co-occurrence patterns
  • Dependency structures

LLM Reasoning (deep, conceptual)

Extracts:

  • Abstract entities
  • Attributes & properties
  • Relationships
  • Intent classifications
  • Latent concepts
  • Missing content angles
  • Questions and user needs

Output is a Semantic Representation Object (SRO):

{
  "page_id": "",
  "entities": [],
  "concepts": [],
  "intents": [],
  "attributes": [],
  "relationships": [],
  "questions": [],
  "gaps": []
}

3. Clustering & Topical Mapping

TAIE clusters content using sentence-transformer embeddings and cosine similarity.

It produces:

Core Topics

High-density clusters representing the main themes.

Subtopics

Entity-grouped branches within each core topic.

Microtopics

Individual user questions, edge cases, comparisons.

Intent Graph

Behavioral flow paths like:

  • "What → How → Comparison → Transaction"
  • "Symptom → Cause → Diagnosis → Action"

Entity Graph

  • Nodes = entities
  • Edges = strength of relationship / co-occurrence

Output:

  • Topic hierarchy
  • Cluster labels
  • Entity network
  • Intent transitions
  • Coverage matrix

4. Coverage Analysis & Opportunity Detection

TAIE evaluates:

Entity Coverage

Missing entities, attributes, or relationships.

Intent Coverage

Which intents are covered vs. missing:

  • Informational
  • Comparative
  • Transactional
  • Investigative
  • Problem/solution
  • Objections
  • Scenarios

SERP Gaps

  • PAAs not addressed
  • Missing formats (tables, steps, schemas)
  • Snippet patterns

Topical Depth

  • Weak clusters
  • Uncovered subtopics
  • Thin microtopic representation

Internal Linking

  • Cluster-tight linking
  • Cross-cluster reference points
  • Recommended anchor text

New Page Opportunities

Based on:

  • Uncovered microtopics
  • Cluster voids
  • Missing entities
  • SERP gaps

Output:

A structured list of NEW_PAGE, UPDATE_PAGE, and INTERNAL_LINK recommendations with evidence and priority.

5. Koray-Style Outline Generation

TAIE creates a complete content blueprint using a merged framework based on multiple strategy documents.

Step 1: SERP Scan

  • Top 10–20 URLs
  • Structure
  • Entities
  • Repeated angles
  • Missing angles
  • PAA patterns

Step 2: Semantic Frame Assembly

From prior steps:

  • Required entities
  • Attributes
  • Latent concepts
  • Comparisons
  • Scenarios
  • Behavioral triggers

Step 3: Intent-Aligned Structure

H2 = subtopics
H3 = microtopics

Sections include:

  • Objections
  • Comparisons
  • Edge cases
  • "What it’s not"
  • Actionable schemas (tables, timelines, checklists)

Step 4: Metadata Layer

  • Internal links + suggested anchors
  • Schema recommendations
  • Tone & reading complexity
  • Table/list/diagram guidance

Output:

A high-fidelity outline optimized for authority, entity coverage, and search-intent saturation.

6. Content Drafting & Export

TAIE generates content using the outline and semantic frames:

  • Entity-rich
  • Intent-sequenced
  • Comparison-aware
  • Scenario-grounded
  • Schema-compatible

Exports to:

  • Markdown
  • Google Docs
  • CMS (Headless API)
  • JSON pipelines
  • Internal linking map

Purpose & Vision

TAIE is not "an AI writer."
It is a topical authority engine designed to:

  • Map the conceptual territory of a niche
  • Identify what’s missing
  • Write what should exist
  • Strengthen internal linking
  • Build true search-driven expertise

It replaces intuition with structured semantic intelligence.
