Build & Run from Source

Windows (x64)

You need a 64-bit GCC compiler (g++) with C++20 support and GNU make. The recommended toolchain is MSYS2 UCRT64:

# 1. Install MSYS2 (via winget)
winget install MSYS2.MSYS2

# 2. Install GCC and Make
& "C:\msys64\usr\bin\pacman.exe" -Sy --noconfirm mingw-w64-ucrt-x86_64-gcc mingw-w64-ucrt-x86_64-make

# 3. Add C:\msys64\ucrt64\bin to your User PATH
$path = [Environment]::GetEnvironmentVariable("Path", "User")
[Environment]::SetEnvironmentVariable("Path", "C:\msys64\ucrt64\bin;" + $path, "User")

# 4. From PowerShell or CMD in the project root, run with:
make run

Linux

  1. Install g++, make, and SFML development packages, using the package manager of your distro. For Ubuntu:
sudo apt update
sudo apt install build-essential libsfml-dev
  1. From your terminal in the project root, run with make run.

macOS

  1. Install SFML using Homebrew:
brew install sfml
  1. From your terminal in the project root, run with make run.
