🚀 Quick Installation

One-command install (Windows PowerShell):

The installer will:

• ✅ Check Python installation
• ✅ Download the application
• ✅ Install all dependencies
• ✅ Start the app automatically

📋 Manual Installation

If you prefer manual installation:

1. Clone the repository:

   git clone https://github.com/naijagamerx/prompter.git
   cd prompter

2. Install dependencies:

   pip install -r requirements.txt

3. Run the application:

   python prompt_enhancer.py

🔧 Requirements

• Python 3.7+
• Internet connection (for AI API calls)
• Groq API key (free at groq.com)

🎮 How to Use

Initial Setup

1. Get a Groq API Key: Visit console.groq.com and create a free account
2. Enter your API key in the application's "API Key" section
3. Choose your preferred AI model from the dropdown
4. Set up hotkeys (default: Ctrl+Shift+E and Ctrl+Shift+R)

Using the Tool

Method 1: Global Hotkeys (Recommended)

1. Copy any messy developer notes to your clipboard
2. Press Ctrl+Shift+E from anywhere in your system
3. The enhanced text is automatically copied back to your clipboard
4. Paste it wherever you need!

Method 2: GUI Interface

1. Paste your raw notes into the "Input Text" area
2. Optionally select a project folder for better context
3. Click "Enhance Text"
4. Copy the result from the "Enhanced Text" area

Example Transformation

Your raw input:

The user page is busted, it wont load their data. the endpoint seems slow. 
and the save button is just stuck on 'saving...' it never finishes. 
oh and also the search filter doesn't work for names with spaces in them.

- The search functionality does not correctly handle inputs that contain spaces.
- For example, searching for "John Doe" fails, while searching for "John" may work as expected.

🔧 Configuration

The app automatically saves your settings in enhancer_config.json:

• API key (encrypted)
• Selected model
• Custom hotkeys
• Theme preference

Enhancement history is saved in enhancement_history.json.

🐛 Troubleshooting

Common Issues

"API Key not set" error:

• Make sure you've entered a valid Groq API key
• Click "Save Key" after entering it

Hotkeys not working:

• Try running the application as Administrator
• Check if other applications are using the same hotkeys
• Use the "Reset to Defaults" button in hotkey settings

Python not found:

• Make sure Python is installed and added to your system PATH
• Restart your terminal/PowerShell after Python installation
