📡 Status endpoint (?action=status) surfaces the full AQI engine state including which provider was active, the Open-Meteo AQ cap (7 days), and whether a WAQI token is configured. Calendar events label the actual AQI source (Open-Meteo / OpenAQ / WAQI) in the description so operators always know which upstream fed the displayed value.

Shows current top headlines from major world news outlets. For dates within NewsAPI's 30-day free-tier window, it falls back to date-filtered major-outlet headlines; future and older dates are skipped to protect quota.

Note: the same-day request uses NewsAPI's /v2/top-headlines endpoint without a country parameter, so NewsAPI returns its default (US) edition. The fallback endpoint is geography-neutral.

📖 Wikipedia On This Day (automatic)

Fetches historical events from Wikipedia's REST API. No setup required. Uses a 24h PropertiesService cache that rotates at midnight UTC.

Built-in data for national holidays, international observances, religious events, and notable anniversaries. No external API needed. Country-specific holidays are shown when loc.country is set (defaults to US).

Global AQI Engine (v2.2.0+): when the Open-Meteo CAMS/NOAA endpoints return no data for a region (most of Africa, South America, South & Southeast Asia, Pacific islands), the script transparently falls back to OpenAQ (free, no key) and then WAQI (token-optional). Override with ?aqProvider=openaq or ?aqProvider=waqi to force a specific source.

D1–14: Deterministische hoge-resolutie modellen (temperatuur, regen, wind, luchtdruk, UV, ET₀).
D15–30: NOAA GFS 31-lid ensemble projecties met modelspreiding (±°).
D-5 tot D-1: Geverifieerd waarnemingenlogboek met drift-auditing volgens D-aftellogica.
Luchtkwaliteit & Hemel: CAMS LKI/AQI, PM2.5, PM10, pollenbelasting, maanfasen en meteorenzwermen.
Wereldwijde AQI-engine (v2.2.0+): valt een stad buiten de CAMS/EPA-dekking (Afrika, Zuid-Amerika, Zuid-/Zuidoost-Azië, Pacifische eilanden), dan valt het script automatisch terug op OpenAQ (200+ landen, gratis, geen sleutel) en daarna op WAQI (token optioneel).
