Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
When creating a new service, if you enter a copied url with some space at the beginning or at the end, it does not load the information when you click on ‘Get data’.
Describe the solution you'd like
A possible solution would be to introduce in the fetching process a function that removes leading and/or trailing spaces from the URL, if any.

Validation: Reopened — stale/bot NOT_PLANNED without a fix. A later comment already said this bug is valid.
Status: OPEN_DEFECT (evidence:confirmed). capabilitiesProbe() sends raw.serviceURL with no trim, so a pasted URL with leading or trailing spaces still fails GetCapabilities.
Validation: DONE (evidence:confirmed). Evidence: capabilitiesProbe trims serviceURL and writes that value back onto the control. Spec trims surrounding spaces from the service URL before GetCapabilities. On dev as merge bb644e17 (#507).
