Summary

  • Require Python 3.14 (python_requires>=3.14, classifiers, release build) and Django >=5.2,<6.2, since Django 4.2 does not run on Python 3.14. Add Django 6.0/6.1 classifiers.
  • Add GDPRConfig with default_auto_field = "django.db.models.AutoField". Django 6.0 changed the DEFAULT_AUTO_FIELD default to BigAutoField, so projects without an explicit setting would otherwise get an AlterField migration for the gdpr models.
  • Test settings set DEFAULT_AUTO_FIELD explicitly for the same reason.
  • CI matrix: Python 3.14 only, with Django 5.2, 6.0 and 6.1.
  • Bump version to 1.1.0.

Testing

python runtests.py locally on Python 3.14: OK on Django 6.1.1, 6.0.8 and 5.2.17 (115 tests, 1 GIS skip). makemigrations --check reports no changes.

Unblocks the Django 6.1 upgrade in Core.

- Widen the Django requirement to <6.2 and add 6.0/6.1 classifiers.
- Add GDPRConfig with default_auto_field = AutoField. Django 6.0 changed
the DEFAULT_AUTO_FIELD default to BigAutoField, which would otherwise
make projects without an explicit setting generate a new migration
altering the primary keys of the gdpr models.
- Pin DEFAULT_AUTO_FIELD in the test settings for the same reason.
- Test Django 6.0 and 6.1 in CI (Python 3.12+ only).
Run the CI matrix on Python 3.14 with Django 5.2, 6.0 and 6.1.
Declare python_requires>=3.14, keep only the Python 3.14 classifier and build the
release on Python 3.14. Django 4.2 does not support Python 3.14, so the minimum
Django version is now 5.2.
