Free threading?

Have you looked at running this with free-threading Python?

Being fairly simple, modern C++, I'd expect it's thread-safe, but it would be nice to know if you've looked carefully / tested it.

Hmm -- looking now, it looks like you released free-threading versions on PYPI, to I guess that answers my question :-)

But a confirmation would be nice before I update teh conda-forge packages

Yes, exactly, it is supported already. I did only do cursory testing for it though, but as you said, the code is fairly straightforward, so I don't expect any major issues.
