Adds an ISPDB entry for mailbox.org (
mailbox.org), a German privacy-oriented mail provider that is not in the database yet (autoconfig.thunderbird.net/v1.1/mailbox.orgreturns 404).What mailbox.org already publishes
mailbox.org serves its own
config-v1.1.xmlathttps://autoconfig.mailbox.org/mail/config-v1.1.xml, so Thunderbird's ISP lookup already works formailbox.orgitself. This entry mirrors those servers and adds the<enable>note about two-factor authentication, which the provider's file does not carry.Contents
All values are taken from mailbox.org's own material, nothing is guessed:
imap.mailbox.org993 (SSL) / 143 (STARTTLS), POP3pop3.mailbox.org995 (SSL) / 110 (STARTTLS), SMTPsmtp.mailbox.org465 (SSL) / 587 (STARTTLS), username = the primary e-mail address, password = the mailbox password.Sources: https://kb.mailbox.org/de/privat/e-mail/e-mail-konfiguration/ and the provider's autoconfig file above (143/STARTTLS and POP3 are from the latter).
<enable>: with two-factor authentication enabled, external programs must use an application password instead of the mailbox password. The instruction is given in English and German.Source: https://kb.mailbox.org/de/privat/sicherheit-und-privatsphaere/applikationspasswoerter-fuer-externe-programme/
Verification
Hostnames and ports match the provider's knowledge base and its own autoconfig file (checked 2026-09-21). I do not have a mailbox.org account, so this has not been verified with an actual login.
