Unowned segments now sit on their own free list in the manager, so a segment that is mapped, reclaimed by a sweep, or freed by compression is no longer wrapped in a throwaway NativeStack, and decompression no longer pops and discards one. Acquiring and attaching a segment is a single call, which removes the requirement that a detached segment be attached before the next refill. The cache keeps its meaning as the list of finished stacks pushed by the return-parent stub.
