AntiBrowser

A hardened Chromium browser with built-in privacy shields, SSH tunneling, IPFS support, and AI features.

Features

  • Privacy Shields — CORS bypass, cert ignore, webdriver stealth, telemetry block
  • SSH Tunnel — Native SSH-2.0 client with per-site routing (Opera VPN style UI)
  • IPFS — Built-in Kubo node for ipfs:// and ipns:// URLs
  • AI Sidebar — Local LLM (llama.cpp) or cloud providers (Ollama, OpenAI, Anthropic)
  • DNS Filter — Built-in personalDNSfilter with blacklist/whitelist
  • Port Allowlist — Restrict or allow specific ports
  • Branded about:blank — Custom landing page instead of empty document
  • CDP — Chrome DevTools Protocol for AI agent control

Build Instructions

macOS (arm64 / x64)

# Prerequisites
xcode-select --install
brew install ninja

# Clone
git clone https://github.com/visawestern/AntiBrowser.git
cd AntiBrowser

# Build
./build/build.sh

Output: ~/AntiBrowser/out/AntiBrowser.app

Linux (Ubuntu/Debian)

# Prerequisites
sudo apt update
sudo apt install -y git python3 ninja-build \
  libgtk-3-dev libnss3-dev libasound2-dev libcups2-dev \
  libxtst-dev libxss-dev libpango1.0-dev libcairo2-dev \

Configuration

First Launch

On first launch, AntiBrowser creates:

  • ~/.antibrowser/ — Profile directory
  • ~/.antibrowser/dnsfilter/ — DNS filter lists
  • ~/.antibrowser/ipfs/ — IPFS repo

Environment Variables

Variable Description Default
ANTI_DNS=0 Disable DNS filter enabled
ANTI_BROWSER_BIN Path to binary auto-detected
ANTI_OUT Build output dir ~/AntiBrowser/out
