One-off formatting of docs/ plus a CI check that keeps it that way.

• npm run format runs Prettier on docs/**/*.md with every $…$/$$…$$ swapped for an opaque token first, since Prettier's Markdown printer rewrites math (^* → ^_). tabWidth: 4 keeps list continuations at 4 spaces, which Python-Markdown requires.
• CI runs npm run format:check before the math lint and the strict build.

Verification (built site before vs after)

• All math KaTeX receives is identical on every page.
• Article text is identical on every page. HTML changes only on 9 pages: content that was indented 2 spaces under a list item used to fall out of the list, and now nests correctly (e.g. the 2.3-3 proof), plus removed trailing whitespace.
