TrackerDetector Wiki

TrackerDetector is a local-first, rule-based counter-surveillance app for Android by Alsatian Consulting. It passively watches Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular, and GPS signals and raises alerts when suspicious patterns appear — all on-device, with no accounts and no network calls.

This wiki explains every screen, button, alert, rule, setting, and process in plain language, for readers with introductory knowledge of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular, and GPS.

Alerts are suspicious indicators, not proof. Review every alert with location, time, movement, and expected-infrastructure context before drawing conclusions.

Detection coverage at a glance

Domain What it looks for
Bluetooth AirTag, Apple/Google/Samsung Find My, AirPods, Tile, Chipolo, Pebblebee, SmartTag — following vs nearby-persistent; watch lists; UUID/manufacturer signatures; surveillance & radio equipment; drones
Wi-Fi Wi-Fi Pineapple, rogue/cloned APs, expected-identity mismatch (BSSID/OUI/SSID/band/security), persistent signal, surveillance/LPR/bodycam & tactical-radio patterns, drones
Cellular Unknown tower/area vs offline OpenCellID, short-serving tower, reject cause, IMSI/MCC-MNC mismatch, LAC jump, tech change, watch lists
GPS Mock provider, impossible speed, jump-without-satellite-shift, persistent network divergence, altitude anomalies, poor signal / jamming
Rooted (optional) Silent type-0 SMS, cellular reject reasons, traffic-channel lock

The app in one paragraph

Scanning runs in a foreground service and feeds observations to a detection engine that evaluates them against enabled rules, watch/ignore lists, expected-device profiles, offline catalogs, and per-rule thresholds. Matches become alert hits, which are grouped by type and target identity into readable cards. You review alerts on Status, drill into device detail and the map, tune everything in Settings, and export encrypted-at-rest evidence when you need a record. Nothing leaves the device unless you export it yourself.
