Brief

Tradao is a web application and event management system dedicated to ITea Lab, technically implemented using the SvelteKit framework and Supabase backend-as-a-service.

Background

As a Computer Science student community and the "innovation hub" of Swinburne Vietnam (HCMC Location), ITea Lab occasionally organises workshops, tech talks, among other events to enable student engagement and sharing of knowledge and expertise. To streamline the event organising and registering processes, as well as displaying the professionalism of Lab members, Tradao presents a convenient and semi-automated solution.

Tradao concerns two main types of users: Event Organisers (mostly members who organises Lab events) and Event Participants (mostly students inside and outside ITea Lab interested in joining Lab events).

Main features

  • For participants
    • Browse and register into ITea Lab events.
    • Get generated digital event tickets that can be added to Google Wallet.
  • For organisers
    • Authenticate via email and password.
    • Announce new events and manage current events.
    • Check-in participants using ticket QR code.

Development Life Cycle

Development of Tradao follows a six-phase variant of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), which will be reflected in the planning, documentation, and presentation of the project. The phases are:

  1. Conceptualisation
  2. Requirements Analysis
  3. Design
  4. Development
  5. Testing
  6. Deployment & Maintenance
