Adds Haiku 5.5 as an explicit model choice and expands regression coverage across the CLI. Selecting /model claude-haiku-5-5 or its Anthropic API / Claude Code picker entry opts in; haiku, automatic chat routing, and vision defaults stay on Haiku 4.5 until verification is complete.

Changes

  • Disable thinking for direct Haiku 5.5 requests and extract visible vision text by block type.
  • Preserve each request's model and prompt-size pricing tier, account for cache reads/writes, and retain cost estimates across session resume. Legacy sessions retain aggregate estimates.
  • Cover command handlers, API/auth/config paths, agent loops, REPL interactions, TUI pickers, sessions, setup, telemetry privacy, and VNC handling with isolated fixtures.
  • Fix a framebuffer slice panic when a raw VNC rectangle starts beyond the right edge.
  • Build on the module-path and coverage-upload groundwork from build: use github.com/Quality-Max/qmax-code module path #217. This PR targets main and currently includes that shared groundwork; merge build: use github.com/Quality-Max/qmax-code module path #217 first.

Validation

  • go test -coverprofile=.context/coverage-pr.out -covermode=atomic ./... — pass; aggregate coverage 85.5%.
  • go vet ./... — pass.
  • golangci-lint run — pass.
  • Release-style build with -ldflags='-s -w -X main.Version=dev' — pass.
  • Focused race tests for Haiku requests, usage accounting, vision parsing, picker/display behavior, and session persistence — pass.
  • Ponytail review and diff-risk review found no blocking issues in the model changes. A signature scan found no new credential candidates.

Known limits

The broader race run fails in terminal/stdout test handling and readline shutdown. TestAgyRunStreamsAndRecordsUsage and TestRunOllamaModeCycle also reproduce these failures on the branch's pre-Haiku commit; the broad race run is not green.

Live Haiku 5.5 provider verification is still pending. No automatic model upgrade, tag, or public release is included. Tests use fake credentials and local services; credential storage, subprocess credential policy, and outbound egress guards are unchanged.

⚠️ QualityMax Diff Analysis — WARN

Diff analysis incomplete after 10 of 17 bounded review batches: batch 11 returned malformed review evidence. The PR introduces comprehensive unit tests for command handlers and updates import paths to reflect a repository rename. CI configuration changes correctly implement OIDC-based authentication for coverage reporting, following security best practices. No actionable defects were identified in the provided diff. The PR introduces a module rename, refactors usage tracking for consistency, and adds comprehensive tests for configuration and gate commands. The changes are well-structured, and the test improvements (specifically the concurrent pipe draining in captureStdout) resolve potential deadlocks. Note that the module rename is a breaking change for external consumers. The PR primarily consists of import path corrections to align with the repository's canonical name and the addition of comprehensive test suites for agent loops, CLI stream parsing, and API usage tracking. The changes are logically sound, and the test helpers correctly handle temporary environments and POSIX requirements. The PR introduces comprehensive test coverage for streaming agent functionality, Ollama integration, and tool result summarization. The refactor in callVisionAnalysis improves robustness by using structured types instead of loose maps and correctly handling multi-part content blocks. The import path updates standardize the project namespace, and no defects were identified in the logic or security posture. The PR introduces comprehensive test coverage for tool execution and API interactions, and fixes inconsistent import paths. The test infrastructure, including the rewriteTransport and fakeCloud server, is implemented safely for non-parallel test execution, and the use of t.Cleanup ensures proper state restoration. The PR significantly improves test coverage for authentication and connection logic, including robust handling of sensitive credentials in error messages. The import path change from 'github.com/qualitymax/qmax-code' to 'github.com/Quality-Max/qmax-code' is a breaking change; ensure the 'go.mod' file is updated to match this new module path to prevent build failures. The PR introduces comprehensive wire-shape tests for the API client, ensuring consistent request structures, and corrects import paths to match the repository's module name. The changes are well-structured, improve test coverage, and fix a likely build-breaking import mismatch. The PR introduces comprehensive test coverage for configuration loading, model resolution, and token usage tracking, alongside necessary logic updates to support Haiku 5.5 and cache-aware cost estimation. The implementation of cost tracking and model validation appears correct, and the added tests follow best practices for environment isolation and security verification. The PR successfully refactors code for testability and updates import paths. However, the use of a mutable global variable for browserFeedProgramOptions introduces a risk of test pollution during parallel test execution. The PR refactors the REPL to use package-level function variables for dependency injection, which improves testability but introduces mutable global state. Additionally, the module path has been renamed, which is a breaking change that will cause build failures if not synchronized with go.mod.

🟡 Finding 1: logic

File: internal/repl/browserfeed.go:94 | Severity: warning

What: The browserFeedProgramOptions variable is a mutable global. Tests modifying this variable (e.g., in internal/repl/browserfeed_model_test.go) will affect other tests running in parallel, leading to flaky test results.

Fix: Inject the options as a dependency or use a test-specific configuration mechanism that does not rely on global mutable state.
