cloudflared before 2026.10.2 (2026.10.3 on macOS outside Homebrew) trusts the eMudhra intermediates whose keys leaked in October 2026 (https://blog.cloudflare.com/emudhra-certificate-compromise/). Nodes installed by
install-node.shkept their cloudflared on a re-run, so they never got the fix.install-node.sh: cloudflared below 2026.10.3 is replaced on any re-run, and the node restarts onto it (--upgrade-depsreplaced the binary but left the running tunnel on the old one).ktms-node doctor: a problem finding for an old cloudflared; a build without a version is not flagged.--expose=cloudflared: a warning at start.Checks:
