The repo had no linter. This adds oxlint 1.86 across every package, with one rule set, and fixes everything it found.

What runs

Root .oxlintrc.json for every package: the correctness and suspicious categories as errors, with the typescript, unicorn, oxc, import and promise plugins. Warnings are denied and unused disable comments are errors, so CI fails on any of them.
app/ and web/ add JSX plugins in their own .oxlintrc.json, which extends the root one. app/ adds react, nextjs and jsx-a11y. web/ adds jsx-a11y, because its kitajs templates render straight to HTML. These are nested configs rather than overrides because in 1.86 overrides can't turn on categories.
Type-aware rules are on. oxlint-tsgolint 7.0.2003 follows TypeScript 7.0.2 and lints the whole repo in about 3 seconds. Besides the type-aware rules in the two categories (no-floating-promises, await-thenable, no-unnecessary-type-assertion, no-base-to-string, restrict-template-expressions and others), it also enables no-misused-promises, only-throw-error, prefer-promise-reject-errors and switch-exhaustiveness-check.
bun run lint at the root. The new Lint workflow runs it on every PR and on every push to main, with no path filters. It installs each lockfile's dependencies and builds web/ first, because type-aware rules read every package's types, including web/dist/build.json.

Rule decisions

Off: unicorn/consistent-function-scoping (a noisy micro-optimization) and no-underscore-dangle (Effect's _tag).
Off: import/namespace. TypeScript already checks namespace members, and this rule resolves conditional exports wrongly: it reported real @sentry/nextjs browser APIs as missing.
Off: typescript/no-unsafe-type-assertion. Replacing its 154 casts (most of them in app/) means adding runtime checks, which changes behavior. That belongs in a separate PR.
Configured:
- no-unused-vars ignores rest siblings, since const { a, ...rest } = x is how the code drops keys.
- no-misused-promises allows async JSX event handlers.
- import/no-unassigned-import allows CSS and server-only.
- The jsx-a11y label rules look three elements deep, because the text in these labels and cells is nested that far.
Tests: await-thenable is off under **/tests/**. bun-types types expect(…).rejects matchers as returning void, but they return promises that must be awaited.
app/ only: react-in-jsx-scope is off because of the automatic runtime. The React Compiler rules (set-state-in-effect, immutability, exhaustive-effect-dependencies, purity) are also off: the app doesn't use the compiler, and what they flagged are working effects. Rewriting those effects would change behavior, not fix a bug.
Evaluated and not enabled: the node plugin found nothing (its rules target CommonJS), and no-deprecated would require replacing fast-xml-parser's validator and execCommand.

Fixed, with no behavior change

180 findings under this config: app 151, core 10, tools/pr-header 6, web 5, brand 3, infra 3, atw-cli 2. Code fixes cleared 161 of them, and the 10 disable comments listed below cover the other 19.

Unused code removed: imports, variables and parameters, an unreachable return, and !! and `${x}` wrappers.
Shadowed names renamed. The shadcn calendar's inline components are hoisted out of render, so they keep a stable identity between renders.
sort() → toSorted(). Next 16 targets Chrome/Edge/Firefox 111 and Safari 16.4. Of those, only Firefox 111–114 lack toSorted.
Caught errors are passed as { cause }.
Floating promises: await main() in the app scripts and await mock.module(…) in tests. Effects that only start a load use void.
Assertions and conversions that the types already guarantee are removed. String(request) in test fetch fakes is replaced with the request's URL.
Small real fixes:
- global-error.tsx gets lang="en".
- Two orphan <label>s that labeled no control become <span>s.
- Two alt texts no longer say "image".
- PaginationLink renders its children explicitly.
TypeScript 7 defaults: app/tsconfig.json sets "types": ["bun"]. TypeScript 7 no longer includes every @types package by default, so without it tsgolint couldn't see bun's test types. app/ still compiles with its TS 5.9.

Disable comments (each states its reason)

nextjs/no-img-element:
- lib/image-gen/templates.tsx (whole file): Satori renders these templates and only understands <img>.
- The ReactCrop image: ReactCrop measures that element, and its source is a data URL.
- Two admin previews of stored originals.
jsx-a11y/prefer-tag-over-role ×4 in vendored shadcn components, all following WAI-ARIA patterns: the carousel region and its slides, a separator that wraps an icon, and the breadcrumb's current page as a disabled link.
jsx-a11y/no-noninteractive-tabindex on /brand's scrollable table, so keyboard users can scroll it (WCAG 2.1.1).
no-control-regex in the RSS escaper, which strips the control characters XML 1.0 forbids.
oxc/approx-constant on APCA's blkClmp exponent, which is exactly 1.414 in APCA 0.0.98G, not √2.
no-unnecessary-boolean-literal-compare on the CLI's isTTY === true. The Node types say boolean, but isTTY is undefined on streams that aren't TTYs.

Verification

bun run lint: 0 warnings and 0 errors across 315 files.
Every check of every package passes:
- app: typecheck, typecheck:scripts, format, 117 tests.
- atw-cli: typecheck, format, 21 tests.
- core: typecheck, format, 122 tests.
- web: typecheck, format, XSS scan, 122 tests.
- brand: typecheck, format, 36 tests.
- tools/pr-header: typecheck, format, 40 tests. (Two are new: CodeRabbit pointed out that the Vercel client trusted fields it had only cast, and it now checks them.)
- infra: typecheck and format.
