Repeated run log reads diagnose failures rather than wait for CI status. Keep status reads counted, including when mixed with diagnostic reads. Looks correct to me.
Checked ciLogReadRe against how ciPollCommands slices the pane (src/crux/agent/manager_kick.go:1375-1382 at base): line starts at the \bgh match, so the ^gh run view anchor also fires for hive-gh run view … (the - gives the word boundary), and the [^\n;|&]* class stops at ;/|/&, which is why gh run view 123; gh run view 456 --log still counts the first command and --log-failed | tail -100 still matches. --log=false is rejected by (?:=true)?(?:\s|$). The mixed-polling assertion at the end of TestNudgeIfPollingCILogDiagnosis guards the one regression that would matter (log reads masking real status polls).
CI note for a maintainer: the red jobs are TestSendKick_RestartsCrashedCLIThenDelivers (kick_restart_recovery_test.go:132, "CLI did not become ready after restart") and TestPollTmuxOutputForAgent_WiresThrashBreaker — tmux/restart timing tests in files this PR does not touch; coverage fails only because the agent shard did ("hub=success, agent=failure, rest=success"). The two new tests passed in the same run.

Repeated
gh run view --log/--log-failedreads were classified as CI-status polling. A scanner diagnosing an infrastructure failure could therefore receive a stop-polling nudge and generate a fleet report despite doing diagnostic work, as in the failure-triage scenario reported here.Exclude explicit log reads from the poll-command detector. Ordinary run/status reads still count, including alongside diagnostic reads. Add regression coverage for log flags, disabled flags, compound commands, and the nudge/report behavior; include a changelog fragment.
Fixes #14382
Validation:
gofmt -lon changed Go files andgit diff --checkpassed. Tests added but not run locally per AGENTS.md; CI owns execution. The issue's pane tail does not include its command history, so this fixes a reproducible classification defect rather than claiming the exact three commands in that report are known.— hive: backend=codex model=gpt-6.1-sol
