CLI companion: polymorfa/cli#7

Coordinated API: https://github.com/polymorfa/polymorfa/pull/171

API source: 1600403db9dcf7996dbbb882375b1165859829d3.

Changes

Create new sessions through QuickLinks and configure ongoing behavior through one typed configuration contract. Direct session creation and observation-policy write methods are retired. Add saved team/project defaults, simulation settings, separate test-history fixture upload, and trusted-server Meta continuation tied to an issued QuickLink.

This is a coordinated breaking development contract, not a published package release. The API change retains separate billing-authority, HMS enablement, deployment, and live acceptance gates. SDK methods cannot grant those capabilities.

Session administration and client-token administration now use Platform routes. Preserve existing server SDK method names, add Platform session retrieve/update, and adapt merged billing quote/confirmation and payment errors from reviewed SDK source 75146778f7a20257a6c0f0f3139329ab308f40f0. Browser tokens are rejected before Platform requests.

Verification

  • 419 tests passed, including exact request bodies, retired methods, scope confinement, and clean consumer packaging.
  • Typecheck, lint, format, server build, workspace builds, and retired-name checks passed.
  • Source snapshots are byte-identical to the API revision recorded in contracts/source.json.
  • Ledger: 403 operations; 262 covered, 106 excluded, 35 explicit unrelated BanSafe gaps, zero changed fingerprints. This does not claim whole-API parity.

Surface impact

API: consumes the coordinated QuickLink/configuration contract. SDK: TypeScript server methods, exports, types, tests, and README updated; browser session start/status helpers retired because their client tokens cannot administer Platform sessions; Calls integrations verified. CLI: coordinated branch pins this SDK commit. Docs: package README and contract provenance updated; public product documentation belongs to the API PR. Release: development contract only; no package publication or deployment.

12-68: 🗄️ Data Integrity & Integration | 🟠 Major | ⚡ Quick win

Align QuickLink settings types with the /platform/quicklink schema. The GET and PUT response schema requires successCallbackUrl, failureCallbackUrl, and allowPhoneChange. The update request supports these fields as optional properties. Both schemas reject unknown properties, so allowedRedirectUris can cause a 400 response when update() forwards it unchanged. Remove allowedRedirectUris and add the three supported fields to the response and update-input types.

🟠 Major · Expose QuickLink testing operations on QuickLinksResource. · packages/typescript/src/messaging/testing-configuration.ts:1-23

1-23: 🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟠 Major | ⚡ Quick win

Expose QuickLink testing operations on QuickLinksResource. TestingConfiguration defines data types only. MessagingClient.quickLinks exposes QuickLinksResource, which currently provides only create, retrieve, and cancel methods. The contract defines PATCH /quicklink/{token}/testing and POST /quicklink/{token}/testing/start, both returning QuickLinkState. Add both methods to QuickLinksResource and test their request and response handling.

Align observation-policy exports with the read-only contract. Remove the unused Update...Request exports and their type-test references. The Update...Response types are used by the GET methods, so rename them to read-oriented names and update the resource and index exports instead of deleting them.

🟡 Minor · Add the optional nullable onboarding field to QuickLinkStatus. · packages/typescript/src/messaging/quicklinks.ts:47-56

47-56: 🗄️ Data Integrity & Integration | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win

Add the optional nullable onboarding field to QuickLinkStatus. The OpenAPI schema allows data.onboarding to be omitted or null, and defines its progress fields as stage, connection, coexistence, contactsSync, historySync, historyProgress, and errorCode. quickLinks.retrieve() exposes data as QuickLinkStatus, so consumers cannot read this field without an unsafe cast. Add the contract-shaped field and include a non-null onboarding object in the retrieve test.
